Saturday I took the time to cerakote and build one of my own AR's!
AXTS Lower with AXTS Controls
CMC Flat Trigger
Umbrella Corp Grip23
Battle Arms Development Short throw Safety
Matching Hexmag
San Tan Tactical PILLAR Billet Upper
Area Armor NiB BCG
AXTS/Rainier Arms Raptor Charging handle
Rainier Arms Fluted Select Series 16" barrel
2A Arms Titanium Gas Block
Seekins Gas Tube
Currently a Ferfrans muzzle, being replaced with a Lantac Dragon when it arrives
AM-TAC Precision 15" Keymod Rail
MFT Minimalist Stock
V7 Weapon Works Castle Nut
Fortis QD End Plate
VLTOR Buffer Tube/Spikes T1 Buffer/ JP Performance buffer spring

Still need a few small parts like the bolt release which should be here soon!

Wanted to do something insane that will be reliable as well as a great display for the shop.
It's not for everyone so any and all criticism, positive or negative appreciated!

It's nice to see something unique for a change. Great job and the parts you chose really look good together.

Some people are "purists" where I like unique and original. Beauty is always in the eye of the beholder!
The stuff I build may look "prett", different and unique but I guarantee thy function as well as they look and are 100% reliable.
This is what I specialize in. Anyone can cerakote and even do some cool patterns and effects but I like to do totally 100% custom one of kind paint schemes!

Well done. Not my color but I can appreciate it. The STT upper looks really good with the AXTS.

Until AXTS releases their matching upper it was the only one that looked decent with it. Besides, I get great deals on STT items so that also influenced my decision!

Better put some oil on it, it's already rusting.

Lack of upper is what is keeping me from going with a ATXS lower. Not sure why it's taking them so long to release one or why they can't keep up with demand on their lowers??? I'm going to start a SBR soon and I'm thinking of going this way but we'll see. I'm a forged fan for the most part but as billet goes the AX556 is really nice.

I use to finish furniture. What did you do to get the "glazed(worn)" look with the Cerakote? I'm assuming you used H-series?

As always beautiful work. I'm always checking the refinishing forum for another panty dropping build.

I have two AXTS lowers. Next build will be a SBR as well. The designer of these lowers tool quite a long time to develop them so it makes sense that it would take an equally long time to create a matching upper. Last I heard from AXTS was 4-5 months out and that was 2 months ago.
All H series cerakote.

I just finished my AXTS with a STT upper as well!  Very impressed with yours.  What take down pins are those?

They are temporary. These are the titanium pins from battle arms.
