Today at the range, I fired 30 rounds of tula just fine, then I let my buddy shoot it. First round bang, second.. click...I inspected it and this is what I found.

No one at the range had a rod to try to get it out. I got it home and I can't get it out.

Sad day.

Squirt some oil in there and let it sit for a little.

Been there done that..
Lucky for me the range had a solid rod to loan out and it came right out.
I've got 3 or 4 hundred left, a buddy of mine wants it for his mini 14.
I'm gonna give him a pretty good deal on it.

You're certainly on the ball for checking the bore / chamber after that "click" good job. I've seen several ka-booms after the first. second or third click. -W

Yeah I told him to put it on safe and then he handed it to me. I took the mag out and pulled the bolt back and then I saw that...

Where are all the "if it cant run Tula (currently the lowest priced, least powered, dirtiest, non-expanding steel cased sh*t available)  then it is no good for SHTF" fellows?

I've seen the same thing happen with Tula, bolt cycled and extractor took a chunk out of the rim.
The guy then had to remove the stuck case with a cleaning rod.

Stuff might be okay for plinking and practicing FTE with.

I'm not trying to steal the thread by asking this question but I was at the range recently and had a few Tula get jammed. The range-master, or whatever his title was, told me to just pull the trigger a few times till it hit.  After 2-3 pulls it finally went off. I inspected a few fail to fire shells that ejected and saw the it appeared to be light primer strikes.  You picture doesn't appear to have that issue (looks at mangled edge of round ) but just wondering if this is okay advice or if I should have slapped the guy for recommending me advice that might blow my face off.

I've had plenty of Tula do that.  I've had mortar'ing pull em, but I've had to go to the solid cleaning rods too.   I'll blame the Tula, but as the are the only laquered cases I fire, but I'd imagine the rest would have similar results.
