First build. Every 10-15 rounds the trigger pin is starting to back out. What did I do wrong during my build?

Anderson lower, High Standard lower parts kit.

I had this happen with an AR i purchased from a friend.

Check your hammer spring and see if you put it in backwards. When I bought mine it was in the wrong way and didn't put enough tension down on the trigger pin indentations.

Are the legs of the hammer spring falling into the groove on the trigger pin?  That should prevent the pin from coming out.

This was what was the problem for me. My buddy installed my geissele trigger spring upside down, I switched it over and everything was fine.

Also might have them backwards, not all companies put both grooves on both pins. As everyone else has said make sure the hammer spring leg is in a groove on the side

Usually, hammer spring on upside down.

Yep, appears I very carefully and meticulously installed the hammer spring in the incorrect orientation. Thank you again for the assistance!

No worries!

It took about 200rds for my trigger pin to walk out. After reading about a backwards installed hammer spring I am surprised my rifle fired at all!

Congratulations, you have now troubleshot your first assembly problem!

Seriously, that's a simple mistake to make, but now that you've figured it out, I'll bet you never make it again.

For what it's worth, I try to make sure that both my hammer and trigger pins are installed the same way, with the end groove on the same side. Being able to see which end has the groove makes it easier to drive the hammer pin out in the correct direction (without having the J-pin inside the hammer stop on the end groove).
