Looking at Barrels... I like the Green Mountain Mid-Length 16" Chromed Bore and Chamber for $150 but BCM has a 16" Standard for 239 that I like too.  Or should I just put up a little more money and get a hammer forged light weight.  

How much difference will it really make? I just intend to shoot at hogs and maybe a paper target every now and then.  I may participate in a fun shooting contest with friends and I of course want every advantage during this.

I have two builds with the Green Mountain M4 16" barrels from MidSouth Shooter's Supply. They run $156 each. I since found out that they have a production over-run special at Green Mountain's website (internet special) for the M4 16" barrels for $144 ea. I Just ordered two of them. They are 41V50 steel, 1:7 twist, parkerized, m4 feed ramps, chrome-lined, air-gauged, etc. Hard to turn down for my needs.
I can't vouch for accuracy, as I am still in "build mode" and have yet to test them on the range. I fact, I have built 15 AR's since Firearmageddon, but have yet to renew my gunrange membership. I am doing that this weekend, so have lots to test here.

PS - These, of course, are not high-end competition barrels. But, I think they are a step above a $99 non-chrome-lined moly barrel.

I got one too, for the price it was hard to pass up.  I haven't seen any bad reviews.
