Built it last month... and I just added the Magpul BAD lever, XTM Hand Stop Kit (i know its reversed and I like this setup better
 ), MOE +Grip, BCM gunfighter charging handle, and KNS anti-slip pins just this weekend... so I took some new updated pictures

After a lot of buying and selling the past 3 months, I had enough parts "left over" so I decided to do another build. This is my favorite so far. It's lightweight and has a lot of parts not typically seen on AR15's that I've always wanted to try out.
This is essentially a "panic" build since every component was bought during the panic. However, with A LOT of patience and luck, everything was at bought at retail price or less. 
Lower: Lancer L15 billet with ambi bolt release (Small modular mag well) ALG Combat Trigger (Core15 LPK) MFT Battlelink stock Upper: Red X upper + 16" 1:9 5.56 carbine length barrel + flash hider, Diamondhead V-RS "T" FF handguard FailZero NiB F/A BCG Vortex Viper PST 1-4x on ADM Recon X mount CAA BUIS Magpul ASAP and MS2 sling Believe it or not, the favorite part of the rifle is the MFT Battlelink stock. It just nicely rolls onto your shoulder comfortably unlike any other stock I've used. Still haven't shot it though, but hope to do that soon. Al |

This is my second build, I went fairly basic but I am happy with how it turned out. And for $800 bucks I feel like I did a pretty good job considering all the panic prices around. Thanks to Arfcom I was able to get parts for somewhat fair prices.

20" PSA Upper DelTon lower w/PSA parts kit Bolt carrier is from my S&W that I converted to an AA piston Bolt is from M&A parts MOE plastic ware Just shot a 30 round mag of M855 through no problem Going back out to zero and test some 68g loads

6.8 ARP 16" barrel ARP Superbolt - don't have a dedicated bolt carrier yet YHM thread protector BCM low profile gas block AP Custom carbon fiber handguard keyhole marked upper I got used for $40 :D DPMS-marked lower I built for my KISS 5.56 years ago - standard 6psn stock w/slip-on rubber butt pad so my son doesn't whine, and a rubber-coated Magpul grip Son loves this upper - because it's cool looking. :D Scope will not be staying on there. It overbalances the rifle, and is far too much magnification for practical hunting use. It's going to get a 1-4 or 2-7, Burris Fullfield II or Leupold VX-2. Something good, but compact and light. |
