Got around to finally take some pictures of my build which I finished in January. First AR ever, built the upper and lower from scratch. Hope you enjoy.
Lower: Surplus Ammo & Arms lower (cheap!) PSA parts kit JP enterprises trigger springs Hogue pistol grip RRA A2 buttstock & carbine buffer Upper: DPMS upper, bolt, charging handle Model 1 Sales rifle length float tube and gas block .223/5.56 cal Black Hole Weaponry 1:8 twist 18" stainless standard profile barrel, rifle length gas, target crown Optics: Vortex Varmint 50 MM 4x16 Weaver rings Haven't shot it at a hundred yards yet, but I could easily cover a dime at 25 using some junk Remington UMC rounds. Pile o' parts https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-HeuLcp2fxN4/T1wJwbvRLoI/AAAAAAAAABA/lh4F2CJJQqc/s640/IMG_20111231_164906.jpg https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-XxmdseEChMY/T1wJ5SR0kaI/AAAAAAAAADM/hCn4UEDgBns/s640/IMG_1952.JPG https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-lqpLaVW23Aw/T1wR6In29OI/AAAAAAAAAF4/pWG8EVrlpwc/s640/IMG_1959.JPG |

Well, it's not complete yet, as I am waiting for my upper parts to get in, but here's my finished Bushmaster lower. This is what I used to build it:
Bushmaster Lower Receiver Bushmaster Lower Parts Kit Magpul MIAD Pistol Grip Magpul UBR Collapsible Buttstock Magpul UBR Strike Plate Magpul B.A.D. Lever Battery Assist Device KNS Precision AR15 .154 Non-Rotating Hammer & Trigger Pins Enidine Hydraulic Recoil Buffer I do like the weight of the lower. That Magpul stock is kick ass and feels like it can do some damage. I will post a finished pic later. http://toponeraegunbuster.com/01_Funny_Pics_and_shit/new-m4-build.jpg |

Nice AR57. I have a5.7 upper at home waiting on me. I am also using a spikes lower. How does she run?
|
|
|
She Run's Great! Only Gripe I Have With It Is When The Brass Ejects It Smacks The Inside of The Magwell And Flattens The Brass Casing! But Other Than That Its Very Accurate, Almost No Recoil.....Just Beware Of Cheap Mags!

Hey fellow, would you tell me please which of those two pistols you prefer? I´m not sure which one of these I should buy, especially because of the trigger. Sorry to the OP for OT. |

If you took a ratio of my photo equipment vs knowledge though, it would so that I have my financial priorities all effed up... But I do enjoy taking pictures... |

Ok, here it goes...
I just finished it off a few days ago and took it to the range to give her some run time and she performed flawlessly Not a complete scratch build, mainly added on goodies to suit my personal tastes. I was able to get a great deal on a Spikes complete rifle and there was no need to change out their upper, lower, barrel, BCG, or trigger since Spikes makes a great product. Spikes 16" midlength YHM midlength two piece handguard Spikes trigger guard RRA Smith Vortex flash hider EOTech 517 - 1/3 cowitness and side controls; now this is one nice sight! RRA ambi safety Troy ambi mag release BCM Gunfighter mod 4 charging handle Ergo "LMT" grip Magpul MOE stock Magpul APG forend grip Magpul XTM panels Magpul RSA; I attach a Tuff sling here and it balances out just right. Magpul rear BUIS *I have an extra YHM rear sight I was going to install but the Magpul works just fine. Plenty of Magpul 30 rounders When I'm done having fun with her at the range, I keep her tucked in an olive drab colored Condor tactical bag so I can bug out at a moment's notice. http://i1271.photobucket.com/albums/jj634/eburch01/IMAG0119.jpg http://i1271.photobucket.com/albums/jj634/eburch01/IMAG0125.jpg http://i1271.photobucket.com/albums/jj634/eburch01/IMAG0134-2.jpg |

Stag lower w/ factory non-assembly letter
Model 1 parts kit rifle buffer tube used A2 upper from Ray's Hardware in Oak Cliff gun show "M-16" bolt carrier 16" HBAR from the EE low pro gas block from Model 1 @ 90 degrees Center Industries LE ban mag dated 11/04 gun show carry handle rail scope mount Inforce 9V light & mount from AAFES (not needed, have no other firearm to attach mount to @ moment) Scotch brand "flash hider thread protector" tape Elevation set @ 400 from when I sighted it in a few years back w/out the gas block - have no idea what I was thinking other than the headache @ the indoor range painted toenails of the photographing fiancee Purely a legal placeholder of a firearm until I decide what I want to build out of it - was built as a pistol so that I can go pistol, rifle, pistol, should I ever decide to do so. W/out the gas block it's a very loud straight pull bolt action of a pistol. I hope the gas block quiets it down a little now that it's a 16" straight pull bolt, instead of an 8" w/ a rifled 8" muzzle brake. http://photobucket.com/ArLegalPlaceholderPistol Also posted this in the AR pistol pic thread. Last AR I bought was in 1988.....
Living in CA, I really got disgusted with the laws and the butchered AR's that were only available.....no flash hider, bayonet lug etc. Now with the tool needed mag release, we can have all the evil things again, so I just put this together....but this is only the start. LMT Lower, RRA Elite CAR A4 mid upper with lightweight barrel and Dominator II, and Magpul STR stock...mag is a Magpul PMAG permently plugged for 10 rounds ....next is a rail for-end and EOTech 512...even though I have been looking at the Vortex SPARC....but not sure how it will work with the DominatorI II Sight/Riser. http://i1233.photobucket.com/albums/ff386/screwdriverx/IMG_1371.jpg |
