Nice carbine, I wanted to ask what that is wrapped around your mag-well?

Its a mag grip. A bunch of us mil guys file with the non firing hand on the mag well. Most of our assigned weapons don't have vert grips so that's how we control the weapon in room clearing and such.

Here is my current SBR build. Paperwork is in "pending" status and waiting for the BATFE to approve so I can install my 7.5" barrel. Don't worry guys, barrel is still with my dealer. I decided to go with VLTOR on this build and couldn't be happier...especially with the lower.

Just a little update. Added the magpul vfg, the PA microdot (fantastic deal, from a great company), A.R.M.S. #71 sights, streamlight tlr-3, and things unseen: sprinco buffer spring, sprinco extractor spring, and standard h buffer (original buffer that came with used stock I bought from friend weighed only 2.56 oz. I apologize for cell pics, but let me know what you think.

I like the setup, but I would suggest either getting the Vltor front sight that sits on the front of the CASV and a rear sight that fits in the space behind the top rail, or getting a set of micro BUIS. It might be easier to keep a good cheek weld and still utilize the BUIS. Just my 0.02

I'm new at this, so bare with me. With my first post the pics were showing on Explorer, but not Chrome, so here is attempt #2.

UPSanta finally delivered the VLTOR VIS-3AK 12” upper so I could finish my SPR build! This is my first complete scratch build. With the 26” barrel and the PRS stock the overall length is 48”.
