not at all. It's a Tactical Intent TI-7 that I got from Accurate Armory. Both companies are out of Lexington, about an hour up the road from me.

My AR builds- Top one is 6.5 Grendel that I use mainly for deer, hog, and coyote.  I Took a real nice deer last season with it.  I love the 6.5 caliber for hunting.  my only complaint is the stock, it's a bit heavy and I know... i'm a wimp I guess :)  I'm not going to be breaching any doors with it these days!   Debating between an Ace skeleton or CTR with the Larue cheek riser.

The SBR is just kind of a toy for the range and to keep next to the bed...   I do really like the side charging handle and the Larue retractable riser.  I'm planning on moving the side charging AA billet upper to my 6.5 this year.  I like being able to charge it while looking through the scope.  And like most things Larue the riser is practical and just plain perfect.

5.56 SBR -10.5  Although it looks pretty goofy I'm a fan of using both the short down grip and the angled grip on the SBR.  being able to lock my middle finger through the hole in the angle grip with 2 fingers on the down grip, index finger down the handgaurd and thumb over the top works well for me and I feel like I can get it on target fastest and most comfortable.  Of course I get the occasional "whatcha do that for" crap about it at the range...
FYI- the Vortex scope I like but the mount is crap.  Will have to replace it.  I dont think I have to tell anyone about the Larue SPR-1.5 mount on the 6.5, again perfect.  I'm bad to forget and leave my scope magnification turned way up so the Larue half ring micro mount and the Burris Fastfire work well for those close in fast movers.

Thinking about hydro camo dipping the grendel.  If anyone has any brand or process related suggestions, i'd be thankful.

I cannot take much credit on building this, although I did have some creative input. I did little of the work... mostly just paying for it.

My latest two:

Installed a DD Lite 9.0 on my existing middy (16" WOA 1/7 "Recce" barrel)

And just got this new upper in from BCM –– one of their new standard 14.5" Lightweight Middy uppers w/ pinned A2x. I'm keeping this as a K.I.S.S. set-up.

These should help me give my SAM-R clone a rest.

finished my first AR,

Spikes stripped lower
DPMS parts kit
Magpul grip ect...
Spikes complete upper
matech buis
BCM mil-spec m4 stock
Eotech 512 (had that on my AK)

I put off buy a AR for about 10 years,
I went with a few different AKs

I convinced my self I didn't really "need"  a AR -

Now I think I "need"  two

(My wife has been very very understanding with the money I have spent, but she has asked a few times -  This is it right?? )
