CMMG upper Bushmaster lower.

You can see all the Magpul accessories, such as the stock, B.A.D. Lever, ASAP sling, front and rear BUIS, trigger guard, grip, PMAG,  Yankee Hill Specter rail. Polished internals, lighter trigger and I think that covers it.

Thanks!

Barrel is from JSE for $70- bucks that I’m very, very pleased with!

http://www.jsesurplus.com/16inm4profilechromemoly1x9556-inthewhitespecial.aspx

Stock is from the Home Depot  (That’s why the project ran soooo  darn long.   It seems that the Home Depot only carries AR stocks in 1x6 maple board form!)

And the front sight gas block started out run-of-the mill.  It had a lot of ‘tweaking’ between the MIG and the grinder, believe me!….

The rest, besides the color palette changes via VHT, is off-the-shelf.  But still, I had a whole lot of hours sunk into this project – the most of any AR that I’ve built to date…

Magpul MOE trigger guard
Magpul MOE grip

This is my first centerfire rifle and AR build.  I wanted to build a top-notch rifle, and got enough good deals to be well under $900 including shipping and tax.  She's waiting for a Magpul handguard.

Overall this was rather inexpensive build – grand total I only have roughly $800 bucks sunk into it (including shipping it to a receiving FFL to my father in Arizona today)…

Both the upper and lower were painted and then baked at 250 degree for about an hour w/ VHT silicone ceramic brake caliper paint.  This may sound a little weird and not very sexy, but VHT brake caliper paint, if applied correctly, makes for a very, very durable and attractive finish.

http://www.vhtpaint.com/caliperpaint.html

Anyway to answer your question…

The upper is a TNW from Centerfire System ($69-):
http://www.centerfiresystems.com/arup-a3stripped.aspx

The lower is from Aim Surplus, a “Surplus Arms & Ammo – LOW15” ($59-):

$500 complete CMMG 1:7 4150 CMV 14.5" barreled upper with pinned/welded YHM 5c2 Phantom flash hider on the end.
The stripped lower I got from a local Montana company in Kalispell (SI Defense) so I'd have a "Montana Made" weapon in case Montana gets away with it's firearm freedam act thing...Anyway, $50 for the stripped SI Defense lower.
Daniel Defense: LPK and Stock assembly.
Magpul: CTR stock, ASAP sling adapter, ASAP sling, MOE handguard with two rail accessory attachments, five 30rd pmags, vertical grip for MOE handguard, MBUS rear flip-up sight, trigger guard
Ergo grip
KZ light mount (going to KZ bay lug mount for light so I can move VFG forward more)
Olight M30 Triton 700 lumen light with separate strobe button on the side
NCStar 5mw green laser (tape switch is in garbage if you want it)
Primary Arms M3 clone RDS in PA high cantelever mount...waiting for a 5x magnifier from PA as well to complete the ensemble.
Trijicon AR15 tritium front and rear sights.  I removed the plastic dual aperture sight from the rear MBUS and put the tritium one in and it works great..even through the optic.

From stripped reciever, installing LPK and stock, then accessories took a good 90 minutes from boxes to firing!

And with a PA microdot RDS which I exchanged for the M3 so I could get a cowitness from the BUIS:

Here's my first AR. After trolling this site for a few years and seeing all the different configurations, I decided that what I liked best was the KISS carbines. I reserved the tacticool rails, optics, etc for my SBR. So my first build consists of the following:

-Denny's Guns Subdued Billet Lower w/ RRA single stage LPK with ambi safety

-KNS trigger pins

-BCM 14.5" upper with pinned A2x flash hider, BCM handguards

-BCM bolt carrier group

-BCM carry handle

-Magpul CTR stock w/ BCM "H" buffer

-Magpul MOE grip

-BCM Gunfighter MOD4 charging handle

Assembling the lower was a little tricky, as I could not get the bolt release fitted without using a dremel to remove some material from the bottom of the lever, as it was too long to fit in the slot machined in the lower.

Also pictured is the rest of my paltry collection: Sig556 SBR, Springfield TRP with full rail, and Walther PPS. I think my next purchase will be another 9mm handgun (Glock 19, Beretta M9A1, or M&P9) and a shotgun.

built this rifle 1.5 years ago, added the Magpul RVG last week. before the RVG i have been shooting the shit out of the rifle as it is.

larue lt150 mount
magpul xtm FDE  rail covers
bcm gunfighter charging handle (medium)

and maybe a adam's arms piston conversion, w/ a troy HK style front battle sight.

How’d you like your ShARps receiver?

I’ve bought two of them about a year ago, of which I’ve built one of them.  Overall, I was pleased w/ it.  Dimensionally it was a little ‘quirky’ to say the least… but for $50- bucks, it was good fun for color and texture experimentation…

I haven't had any problems out of it. Everything fit up fine for me. I have a new BCM upper on the way to get rid of the one that I got from blackthorne. Eventually I'm going to get is all duracoated to the same shade and texture of black.

Congrats, overall it looks like a nice job!

The two main "Oops’" in mine were my magazine’s button hole was a little "tilted" by 1 or 2 degrees (I think that’s ShARps / Delaware Machine’s claim to fame, because I think that Delaware Machine milled them all that way… Hmmm, Oops... ) and my buffer tube yoke hole was off-center, just slightly, but not enough to interfere w/ the bolt carrier’s travel up and down the tube…  … I have to admit, I do gravitate towards the lesser known, and lesser priced, lowers because they can be somewhat idiosyncratic which makes them a little more fun and challenging to put together...

Post more pics when you get your “non-Blackthorne” upper in and duracoated!…

Wow... Just came across some old pics from a year ago of my son shooting his first build - It's amazing to see what they can come up with when you give them some free reign on choosing how they want it to look.  i think he did good, not my taste, but he likes it.  PLUS more important, keeps his interest up.  Anyway the pics.
