Tell me more about that 5th rifle with fsb and nsr! View Quote First you'll have to find a NSR-9, 11, or 13.5" that you're willing to cut to allow a carbine FSB to work in. The way Noveske milled out that rail, it works almost perfectly but you'll need to do a couple things to prepare your gun for this transition. First, you have to tap each FSB hole with a 6-32 so that you can install setscrews to lock it in in place. Do so slowly as you may break off the tap in the taper pin hole. Ask me how I know. See where to make your cuts in the NSR and once you've successfully tapped each taper pin hole, install your NSR barrel nut on the rifle. You'll have to remove the bayo-lug and sling swivel from the FSB also, as there is no clearance for them inside a NSR. Once you've gotten the NSR cut to allow clearance for the FSB, you need to set it through the top, and put your gas tube in the FSB before installing the rail and FSB onto your gun. The next step is a bit easier, but still requires a steady hand or drill press. You have to drill a couple holes in the side of the NSR to allow your setscrews to install through. They can be covered up by using Noveske NSR keymod panels or something similar to the MI ones. Skinny panels like BCM or KAC won't fully cover the holes you made. A more detailed write-up is available here. Since this gun has a pinned and welded muzzle device, it's going to remain this way. Clearly I chose to take that entire upper down and put a different barrel to it because the 11.5" barrel I used in that configuration is going to become a KAC SR-15 N4 with a milled URX2 rail that will eventually look like a SR-16 CQB clone. |

Yes it is under 16" it is a 10.5" Noveske barrel with a Noveske KX3 on the end of it under a Seekins 12" MCSR rail.
Paper took from May 11th until Sept 15th 2015 to get the stamp back. |

I drew it on with a sharpie and took a very fine diamond bit on a Dremel and went over it, I tried the Emperial/Sith logo on the other side but I can't do a straight line or circle I smoothed it back out as best I could.

Then a professional could make the other side have deep, sharp cuts using precision engraving tools. |

Doctor7474-
What do you think of the Cryptic Coatings BCG? Is it worth the money spent to get something like it or was it the only kind of BCG that closely matched up with the cerakote finish on your rifle? I guess what I'm asking is would you do it again if you were only going with a black rifle or something? |

I basically sat down and thought about what was the best and then out of that pool of parts what looked best. |

No issues with the BCG, cleaned up with nothing but a rag and a couple Q tips no solvent needed. |
