PSA 16" mid gas 1/8 twist freedom rifle kit built on a FMK AR-1 Extreme poly lower.  Trying to keep this one simple... Upgrades include a MOE stock, K2 grip, Matech rear sight.  Waiting for a MOE SL mid handguard to show up.  Had to swap from triangle to round handguard cap and remove the front sling attachment to accommodate it, but I like how the SL is less bulky and extends out around the delta ring and front sight.

Really different from what we see always on here. Not what I would've thought up, but really dig it. I say keep it as is, the painted eyes and mouth may detract from the rest of the rifle. I like how it all blends in together currently.

Here's my first build from the ground up.  I love just how easy these rifles are to build, you have to love the modularity!

Parts List
Anderson Lower
PSA Premium LPK (great stock trigger with this kit)
KAK QD end plate
KAK Buffer System and Shockwave Blade
SOE single point sling
Anderson Upper
Anderson 7.5" barrel
ALG 7.5" Keymod EMR 2 hand guard (amazing quality for the price)
SLR Gas Block with melonited gas tube
KAK Flash Can
Magpul MBUS 2 sights
BCM Mod 4 charging handle
PSA Premium BCG
B5 Gripstop

I was a little worried starting off with a 7.5" as my first build as I know there can be reliability issues, and sure enough I did experience some FTF issues.  Building it gave me the confidence to complete a deep and thorough trouble shooting and I was a able to narrow down the issue to a defective BCG, thanks also to those who helped me in the troubleshooting forum.  I have no anxiety about tearing this thing down if need be now that I was able to build it.  She's very fun to shoot and isn't half bad in the accuracy department considering it's a 7.5".

For those of us newbies who don't own a torque wrench, the ALG hand guard's installation procedure is perfect!

I'm loving your BCM build nice work.  I have one question, it almost sounds like you found a BCM stripped lower, how did you do that?  Or did you buy the lower receiver group and then swap parts?

I've been wanting to ask a geissele rail owner how they feel.  I want to instal a 9.5" mk8 on one of my rifles and wanted to know what the general feel is. I guess shape in the hand/balance and such.

i have a 7.5 in MK4...not too different than the MK8, but it feels very solid, comfortable in the hand, you can really see and feel the craftsmanship that geissele puts into its products.

Parts bin build with stuff that was in style a few years back. This is going to be a truck/boat gun

DPMS upper and lower
??? BCG that was selling like hot cakes here a while back
DIY trigger job on USGI lower parts kit
A2 grip, bump shaved
4 pod CAR stock
Hogue FF tube
20" GI profile
YHM flip front and muzzle brake

Still need to pick up a rear sight and a sling, and I'd really like to fab up a flashlight mount that clamps around the FF tube, like a shotgun clamp

Now with Matech rear sight and a 20rd pmag. Gonna have to do a range trip to zero. And now I owe my 14.5 rifle a rear sight.

I love mine,I use a thumb break method of shooting and it's nice and grippy with the Magpul rail covers. It's also slim enough to use the c-clamp or standard type of grip.
