New to the sire. Finally got to start my first AR build and the how-to on the lower assembly here helped out a ton! Took me about an hour last night to get it together.

The rifle was built from an M&A kit, with an Anvil Arms lower.

Just finished it up tonight after searching for a 5/64 roll pin.
Specs: -Keyhole flat top upper from BCM -BCM BCG -Vltor/BCM Gunfighter charging handle w/ Gen. 4 Latch -Bushmaster 16" V-Match heavy fluted barrel w/ A2 flash hider -YHM Spectre length, Diamond FF Forearm w/ end cap -YHM Low profile gas block -PWA Pre-ban lower w/ 2 stage trigger, Magpul trigger gaurd -Magpul CTR stock -Magpul MBUS front and rear 
And I plan on getting an Trijicon ACOG or a 1-4x w/MRD sometime this year. This is also my first build, what do you guys think? Ian |

I have been shooting with a high tang for a long time (even before TAOTTC came out) and even chopped a couple of grips down to try and affect this position. It is pretty great as far as ergonomics goes. I think I may replace all my vfg's with the afg.

Top Back is CMMG w/ noveske 14.5", pinned Phantom QD and Troy Rail, ubr and maid. Has NM Chrome M16 BCG Left - LMT 16" upper on Defender lower, rail, Eotech, ergo grip, Phantom QD f/h Bottom - Colt Hbar S/n under 1400. All original Right - RRA Pistol w/ 10.5" Noveske w/ switchblock. DD lite rail, Fail zero M16 Bcg FCS QD F/H/COMP (this thing is so much louder than the others) All except the Hbar have BAD's on them. They all shoot well, but the CMMG in the back is so heavy w/ everything on it, it is not a lite one by any means. Its funny, because except for the RRA pistol, The HBAR is the lightest feeling one! There are a few more things I need to get like an optic for the RRA Pistol (and hopefully SBR it if Alabama will ever pass the legislation), but I am holding off to see what new optic designs come out in the near future. |
