-Palmetto melonite 16" upper -12" Midwest Industries Gen2 rail -Spikes pictogram lower -Palmetto lpk -AIM surplus NiB bcg -Milspec buffer tube kit -Magpul ACS -Magpul trigger guard -Midwest Industries handstop kit -Ergo grip -Rainier XTC muzzle brake -Bushnell trs Now just need some of the overtime to slow down and it to warm up so I can break it in. 
Edit: not finished the JP Enterprises springs are still on the way |

I have, but not 100% sure what color I want to do. I am also afraid it would turn into a blob since there are so much detail. I almost made the upper and lower FDE or Patriot Brown so it would resemble the colors he uses in scouts. I really like the way it turned out but still wonder if it would look better not black.

BigWes- your cerakote looks great! I wanted to do that with my 18" hbar but went for the duracoat to save some cash.
I've been waiting a long time and been hiding a lot of credit card bills from the wife to finally post this, here's my trifecta! Rifle, carbine, and pistol. I built all from individual parts except the M4 upper which is a PSA. I just finished the pistol over the weekend and it is loads of fun:

Just a quick post on my 1st. AR Build.
I realize this is seen by many to be a POS Rifle because it did not cost 2k plus. That being said I wanted a simple functional rifle I can be proud of. I have been patiently acquiring parts for it since Labor Day 2013. I have purchased everything on sale. My son also manages a gun store in Montana so a few small items have come from him. Here is the list of parts I used. I have not shot it yet. I am very happy with the way things went together. Not one single issue. everything fit perfect and have nothing negative to report: PSA Stripped blemished upper (cant find anything wrong with upper. T Marks painted, Logo on it, 2 pencil lead size marks in anodizing but behind extraction port cover when its open) PSA Upper build kit PSA MOE lower build kit with Premium Full auto profile BCG and charging handle. Flat Dark Earth furniture. Magpul rear MBUS is FDE also Del-Ton 16" Pre Ban carbine length M4 profile barrel kit, with F-Marked front sight pinned to barrel. all parts including MOE hand guard, front sight parts, A2 flash hider, sling parts, crush washer, included. ZAR Armory ZAK Armory stripped lower. This is made in Paso Robles, CA my hometown. So for the rifle as it is now cost me $827.60! SO be easy on me. Now I will be building my wife's AR next. Basically the same except a lightweight barrel in mid-length and a Nwe Fronteir Polymer lower (she has had 2 neck surgeries so weight is the biggest factor.

My newest build...
Spikes Jolly Roger lower Ice Arms 16" SS middy MI T series Gen 2 FF PRI front sight gas block Spikes standard LPK, Ergo grip, KNS pins AIM Surplus MPI bolt Just need to get a rear sight, the usual accessories, and an optic, once I figure out what I want. I know the RRA Elite Operator2 is considered a "hobby" AR on the forums, however I have always like the configuration. However I didn't like the weight of the barrel and the 1/2 quad rail. It also didn't seem to make sense to me to have sling swivels mounted to the free floated barrel. Figured I could build something similar at a cheaper price too!

Here is my first build. Just cleaned it after shooting it at the range the first time. I was so excited when it went bang! This AR has the best trigger out of my SR556 and M&P15. So crisp like breaking a glass vial.
