Just finished this rifle, figured it's as good a place as any for my first post!

Planned additions / upgrades: AR Gold Trigger Badger tac-latch LaRue hand stops BUIS JP or AAC Compensator I did a lot of research before this build and most of it was on this site, so thanks to those of you who posted all the great info and tutorials here. First build finished. Had some issues the first time out to the range, but I think they're resolved and am looking forward to a follow up range session.

I just gave an old carbine a little makeover. This rifle is a mutt gun. There are probably 25 brands represented here. It's ran like a champ for two carbine courses though and after 4 thousand or so rounds, it's never failed me. I'd trust this little carbine with my life.
I cut down the FSB last winter and dropped in a Centurion Arms 12" rail. Recently I've been intriqued with keymod handguards and I had an opportunity to pick up this 9.3 oz 12" Fortis REV to try out. New flat dark earth furniture came in the mail this week. I picked up the B5 SOPMOD at a carbine course last month. One of the instructors brought in a bunch of his own gear he didn't want to hock off on the students. It was never used so I took it off his hands for $50 bucks. Next, I'll be doing something different with the light. I absolutely hate that mount and setup. The Troy front sight will get moved to the front of the handguard as well instead of sitting over the gas block. Otherwise I'm pretty pleased with this rig. Dead reliable, light weight, and setup perfectly for my shooting style.

Updated a Preban Colt I've had for about 10 years. This is version 3 since I've gotten it and only the lower hasn't changed. Put on the 12" Midwest Industries rail, B5 Enhanced SOPMOD stock, DD fixed front sight and threw some paint on it. Now I just need to decide on which Aimpoint I want to put on it.

Changed the RCA BCG to a Spikes Tactical Nib BCG and the ACOG came its mounted on a Larue RCO ACOG mount.

Well, I finished up my build. Lightweight and simple was the goal and I like how it turned out. Magpul furniture and BUIS, Omni polymer receiver Delton upper half, Wilson bolt release, Levang linear comp and a DPMS selector.
