The reason I have both the Magpul AFG1 and VFG is because of the situation I may be in.
The AFG is for accurate distance shots and the VFG is for closeup fast transitions.

Specs:
Mega Arms Billet Upper
16" Daniel Defense Gov profile
Vltor Low Pro Gas block
RCA BCG
Rainier Arms Raptor Charging Handle
Magpul BUS
SureFire 5.56 Muzzle Brake

Mega Arms GTR-3H Ambi Stripped Lower
BAD-CASS Safety Selector
Norgon Ambi Mag Release
KNS Anti Rotation Pins
Noveske Takedown and Pivot Pin Set
Spikes LPK
Magpul MOE+ Pistol Grip
Magpul UBR Stock with enhanced pad and strike plate
CSAP Mount-N-Slot

Only have 60 rounds through her and she shoots amazing.

I will be getting an Aimpoint Pro later on.

UPDATE:
Got the FSB ground down, and the BattleComp 1.5 pinned and welded. Now it's gonna get the upper painted to match the lower and I need to get an optic.
(I'm considering a TA31RCO-M150CP, but I'm not sure yet.)

Two more builds I finished up in the last week.  Top one is Seekins upper and rail, CMT lower, and Daniel Defense barrel.  Bottom is pretty much all Black Rain Ordnance parts.

The colt sporter magazines that are 20 round are awesome for these 7.62x39 builds if you can find them, just so happen to find a place that had a 150+.

Hey shooter, Did you do the color fill on that Spikes lower?

I followed your tips for my lower with the Laquer Stiks and had mixed results. The smaller areas came out ok. but the larger areas never seemed to dry and would smear even the next morning. Any info?

The larger areas I let sit as long as I can and I use those cotton swabs on the long sticks...just dab some mineral oil and lightly run over the white or red with it, then come back with a clean one and just lightly run over it. Then dab it clean with a microfiber cloth....I usually tape up the large areas pretty good so I don't have to fool with them.

I have a spikes and psa lower to color, I'll setup my webcam or camera and try to make a video of how I do it.

I haven't posted up for awhile and have a few "new" builds. I had them done for the most part before the panic started just haven't really felt like posting up about them.

top one is my GF's new carbine. It's a sweet gun. she picked all the parts. (with my help) and we assembled it together

middle one  in tugsten gray is my new .22 build. that thing is damn fun and very accurate. I'm not completely sold on the AGP folding stock though.

The burnt bronze is my middy i've had for awhile now. will always be my fav.

The lr308 is also "new". I'll be getting some glass for it soon hopefully. but I've been having plenty of fun still with just the buis

all of them have been assembled by me aside from the pardner pump that made it into the photo

I started a build and about the time I completed the lower and was starting to look for upper parts, the bottom fell out. My CMMG rep hit me up and asked if I wanted an upper and I said yes. He ordered it Jan 5th-ish and it arrived today(Thursday). I like it and will change a few things, but still have plans to build an upper. Sorry my feet aren't in the picture.....

That rail mates really well that Mega upper! I've got a Mega billet set that I'm just starting to build and I've been going back and forth between the Fortis and a few other options (the DD being one of them). I realize you don't have a ton of time spent with the new build yet, but what's your impression of that rail so far? Also, what's the length on that rail?

Just finished my first build, sold it to a friend. I have two builds for myself that I'll be building up shortly, the parts are being duracoated. The first build was easier than I expected, and I look forward to getting mine together.

Essential Arms lower
BCM upper, LW profile, mid-length gas 14.5" barrel, extended A2, and low-pro gas block

RGUNs BCG
BCM gunfighter grip
Magpul CTR
MI G2 SS 12' modular forend
DD fixed irons and receiver sling mount
Troy lever
Vortex SPARC

I don't have a scale to weigh it, but I'm pretty sure it's well under 7 lbs empty, with irons, light, and SPARC.

I just finished this build today. On the upper is a VLTOR MUR 1S upper receiver, 18" McGowen stainless fluted 1/8 twist barrel, , JP 15 1/2" tub, BCM charging handle, Surefire muzzle device (this is temporary until I get my AAC can mount) and a Young National Match BCG.  The lower is a LMT with the obvious MAGPUL furniture with a Geissele SSA trigger.

Now I have to get it ready to paint and I have to find a good deal on a Leupold MR/T piece of glass with a illuminated reticle....:)
