I was trying to build something lightweight. I just weighed it without that heavy optic and it was 4lbs 9oz. That optic adds almost a whole pound! I may put my Vortex Spitfire 1X on it as it is a bit lighter. I know I want a prism sight because of my far-sightedness (can't see worth a crap close up), and then the Recce 5, although light for a suppressor, adds another 14 oz. All together with optic and suppressor, it will be just over 6lbs. Still pretty light with all that stuff on it, but I think it will be a great SD weapon inside the house or other buildings. It will be 2lbs lighter than my 9mm QC10 rifle, and those 2 lbs makes a great deal of handling difference. |

I've a 10.5" stamp pending and I'm thinking about one of those faxon 762x39 barrels for it. I'll let you know after Tuesday I'm running a st-t2 buffer and carbine spring. As far as chambering and extracting rounds by hand, they feed very smoothly. Even feeds well when I ride the bolt forward after a round has been partially fed out of the magazine. I'm pretty confident its going to work well, but the true test will show. |

The rail seems to be pretty solid. I took it out and put 50 rounds through it last week and didn't have any hiccups. Here is the link to the rail on eBay:

Not as good looking as some of the builds here - but this is my first build.
Spike's Spartan lower Velocity drop-in single stage trigger PSA 16" Stainless Steel 1-7 complete upper PSA NiB BCG I've since added a Bushnell TRS-25 red dot. Fun to shoot. Have run over 600 rnds thru it with no issues. " /> |

That looks a lot like my first build (PSA stainless upper), except mine was in Flat Dark Earth.
Nice job and welcome to the forum. |
