Here the link on Ebay for that muzzle brake.  I'll be testing this rifle out sometime this week so I can't really give you my opinion on it quite yet.

My latest build on a Spikes Crusader stripped lower. 14.7 LW Aero Barrel with P&W Noveske KX5.  I'm definitely getting quicker at these...  This one is pretty light.

Hey thanks!  I was trying to build something lightweight.  I just weighed it without that heavy optic and it was 4lbs 9oz.  That optic adds almost a whole pound!  I may put my Vortex Spitfire 1X on it as it is a bit lighter.  I know I want a prism sight because of my far-sightedness (can't see worth a crap close up), and then the Recce 5, although light for a suppressor, adds another 14 oz.  All together with optic and suppressor, it will be just over 6lbs.  Still pretty light with all that stuff on it, but I think it will be a great SD weapon inside the house or other buildings.  It will be 2lbs lighter than my 9mm QC10 rifle, and those 2 lbs makes a great deal of handling difference.

This is my patrol rifle, it started life as a Stag Model 2, but has morphed over the last 5 years into this:
YHM phantom flash hider
Midwest G3M 12(ish)" hand guard
Magpul MBUS front sight
Streamlight ProTac rail 2 - awesome light BTW
Blue Force gear Vickers 2 point sling - not shown
Aimpoint PRO on vortex cantilever mount
Vortex 3x magnifier
Velocity 4.5 lb trigger
Hogue grip/stock

Hows the reliability of that upper, and what buffer/springs are you using? I've a 10.5" stamp pending and I'm thinking about one of those faxon 762x39 barrels for it.

I'll let you know after Tuesday

I'm running a st-t2 buffer and carbine spring. As far as chambering and extracting rounds by hand, they feed very smoothly. Even feeds well when I ride the bolt forward after a round has been partially fed out of the magazine. I'm pretty confident its going to work well, but the true test will show.

Not as good looking as some of the builds here - but this is my first build.
Spike's Spartan lower
Velocity drop-in single stage trigger
PSA 16" Stainless Steel 1-7 complete upper
PSA NiB BCG

I've since added a Bushnell TRS-25 red dot.

Fun to shoot.  Have run over 600 rnds thru it with no issues.

Nice work!

Those Vipers are an incredible optic.  Easily my favorite to put on a 14.5 or 16" rifle.

Just finished my SMOS SM-15 and slapped one of my KAC uppers on it as a placeholder for a picture.

I couldn't bring myself to post this in the Block II thread so here is my latest based on a Daytona Tactical 80%

PSA LPK
Aero upper
Colt 14.5 SOCOM
Toms tactical BCG
Magpul foliage furniture
DD RIS II FSP black
BFG vickers sling
CQD front sling mount
Surefire SF3P (pinned/welded)
Surefire m600v
Matech BUIS

I have some glass I want to throw on it but the irons need to get sighted first

This is my 3rd Daytona 80% and my only complaint is that with both aero and anderson uppers the pocket for the rear takedown pin lug is tight if not machined. This may actually be a pos because it allows for really tight upper/lower fitting.

My latest side charging build:

Lower:
Joe Bob Billet blank receiver
PSA EPT with JP ent. springs
Hexmag grip and magazine
Mission first tactical adjustable stock with carbine buffer and spring

Upper:
Rousch Sports billet upper receiver
16" Ballistic advantage mid length gas barrel
15" Faxon M-lok rail
PSA Nickel Boron BCG
Wilson combat gas block with stainless steel gas tube
Rousch sports muzzle break (changing it to a Strike Industries J comp when it arrives)

I put about 50 rounds through it and it shoots like a champ with little recoil.  I'll probably add the 3x behind the red dot sometime in the near future.
