1st is my Bushmaster 20".  It was my 1st before I knew anything & thought it was "cool". I learned after, the launcher servers no real purpose. I do have a bunch of different types of ammo for it though. The scope is dialed in & I can hit 150 yards out without a problem. Other then having to aim it a bit down the carry handle mount seems to be ok, on my gun.
2nd is my DPMS 16" lite barrel. It's a KISS gun. No other purpose then close range hit your threat. Need a BUIS for it that folds. I do have a non folding 1.
It has a X300 light, Knights rail system with grip, CAA grip, Eotech 511, Magpul stock & trigger guard, badger tactical latch, & single point sling.
Both guns have upgraded BCM extractor springs.
Once I used some quailty ammo, no problems with either at the 1k round mark.

http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y247/Heineken420/DSCN1173.jpg

i had some flash powder, and i thought i could flick a lighter next to it and pull my hand away quickly...

let me tell you this, it was such fast burning flash powder it made a boom without even being inside a tube or restricked space, so obviosly i could not move my hand away fast enough...i remember feeling my skin instantly shrivel up...that pic was the next morning.  I went to the emergency room just to get some pain pills, they told me i had to go see a burn specialist, but i never went, i didnt wanna pay all that money, i just kept it clean and drained and LOTS of neosporin, and i dont even have a scar now, its like it never even happoned.  anyway, lesson learned.

it also hurt scrubbing the burnt powder off before i went, i didnt want to tell them it was from powder, i told them i spilled grease from deep frying

I once witnessed someone do the same thing with a days worth of piled up 60mm mortar increments. It was almost as bright as the sun. More like a Nebula because of the smoke.

Guess I should've posted here in the first place...

I've been working on this one for several months. Shoots great, I
normally have an Aimpoint w/Larue mount + Po' Boy Special on it, but I
want to get a feel for what accuracy it's actually capable of. Since
I'm strapped for cash and I know I'll want a better scope someday
anyway, I went ahead and spent the $200 for the Larue QD mount and only
$80 on a scope! (I'm sure I'll get trash talked for that one, but it's
just a placeholder scope until I can afford a better one, and I'll
still have the nice mount!)

Once I finish my second build, which will be free-floated, the Aimpoint
will go back on this one and the new one will only have the scope.

Details:

Essential Arms Lower with Tough Coat finish

M&A LPK

JP yellow trigger springs

Magpul MIAD grip (bought both black and FG and mixed colors)

Magpul CTR stock

Milspec tube with H3 buffer

Larue LT104 1" SPR/M4 QD Mount

Bushnell Banner Dusk & Dawn 3-9X scope

Magpul Enhanced Trigger Guard

Bushmaster Upper

1/9 5.56 barrel (16" w/Flash hider)

My very first build!  Originally I wanted an XCR, then I decided I'd rather just have an AR.  I could buy it piecemeal that way to my specifications instead of having to save up and purchase the whole thing out the door.  By the time I get done with this it'll have a gas piston but I'm pleased to report it shoots like a dream, so I'm posting it here.

Details:
Rock River Arms upper
Stag Arms lower
6.8mm 1/10 16" ChroMoly bbl
DPMS LPK
Magpul MOE handguard/MOE pistol grip
Magpul CTR stock
ASAP rear sling point/MS2 sling

Magpul Back Up Sight
EOTech 551/3.25x FTS magnifier
Grip Pod

Almost done - don't have the tools to add a gas piston yet, but that will be soon to follow.

My first AR build/snap together, Model 1 complete kit minus lower and picked up the SW MP15 lower today at my local fun shop. Was really easy compared to AKs, longest part about it was looking 3 times for the front take down's detent! May need some adjustment on the trigger but I wanna try it at the range first, functionally everything is a go. Already have some dreams to make it into a total clone of an MP including A3 upper, free float rails and some SW flipup sights. We will see, for now here she is.

Hey Wildkow, I'm sure those pics were taken somewhere in 'Free America', outside of the Demokratik Peoplez Republik of Kaalifornia.
Because anything with a 14.5" barrel on it in the D.P.R.K. might cause the jack booted alphabet boys to show up at your front door.
I'm just sayin'...

Nothing special, wanted a KISS carbine.  Had the original uper from what turned into my SBR (originally a S&W M&P15A) sitting in the closet.  Ran across a store with a bunch of lowers in stock, nabbed one and a LPK for a decent price, and the rest is just left overs that I found in my closet.  My first assemble-it-myself AR lower.

That is a very nice countertop. My parents just had a $9000 granite countertop put in that I think is amazing. I'll have to take my rifle over there for some pics with I get my upper in. Or we just might have to start a guns and granite thread.

Thank's! My wife and I are both pleased how the countertops came out. Nine thousand is about how much "my wife's" countertops cost and one of the main reason's I finally got to build these AR's.
Both uppers are mine and the other lower is my friends. Had some trouble with the DPMS upper when I tried to pin the FH on the 14.5" barrel. Link Grab a cold one if you want to read it there are a lot of off topic issues/tangents. Here are a few more pics with a new light I got, just can't make my mind up what configuration I want, guess I better get another lower so that I can mount all my scopes, lights, red dots and other assorted bells and whistles. As you can see from my post above I have to mount the Red Dot quite far forward on my rail so that I still have room for the 3X Maginfier and a rear BUIS. I don't know how that will work it seems way out front to me but I guess the only way to find out is to go to the range and shoot it, right?

The light is from Primary Arms and I swear, although I didn't measure it, that it's a 75-100 yard light.

It is just awesome and Marshall is a great guy to do biz with.
