Very nice! I would've went with Imperial markings or Mandolorian personally but still a beautiful rifle!

Thanks for  the compliment.
I just hope I can devote time to put over a thousand rounds through these builds.

Been grabbing parts here and there for a few months now (looking for deals and using what I've got on hand)..  Finally starting to look like something.
Mega MaTen .308.  Lower is complete now.  Saving up for the top half...

The start of my new build.  Finally snagged myself a Spikes Zombie lower.  Did the color fill myself.  I'm pretty happy with it. Mostly tan with a touch of od green for some contrast.  Of course white for safe.

Had the pistol grip and DD ambi sling loop from a previous rifle already on hand and threw them in there so it wasn't a pic of a bare lower lol.  Ordered the LPK and Magpul MOE furniture from Palmetto that I intend to use with this but still waiting on it though :(

As far as the upper to mate this with I have no clue what direction I'm going at this time.  .300blk is on my consideration list but I'll probably just do a 5.56 at this time.  I'd like to do a DD RIS II and go the block 2 clone route most likely regardless of caliber chosen.  Still need to decide carbine 14.5 with a pinned muzzle device or go with the normal 16 so I can avoid having to deal with a pinned muzzle device.  If I opt for pinned the DD RIS II or any other free floater handguard would have to be on there first and most likely assembled by someone who can weld the muzzle for me.  Otherwise with a 16 inch upper I could do normal handguards now and attempt to do a free floater myself down the pipe.  Also I need to decide if I'm going with the standard carbine length gas port or maybe going with a midlength gas port this time around.  Decisions grrr.

For now its just a neat looking paperweight.  YMMV as usual.

Dafuq?

Are you only grabbing it with your thumb and index/middle fingers, or am I completely misunderstanding?  No matter how I picture it, your ring and pinky are useless with it set up this way.

Maybe useless to you but I am missing 2 1/2 fingers, so whats awkward to some is normal for me. Just lucky I'm able to still shoot

My second AR, but first build:

GPI lower -- wanted the 3rd position markings for the TacCon 3MR trigger with giggle switch that's on its way
Dragon's head engraving done by Simmons LE
PSA lower parts kit - trigger polishing resulted in a crisp 5.5 lbs until the new trigger gets here
Magpul aluminum trigger guard
JSE barreled upper, took off front sight and put on low profile gas block
Supercomp brake
556 Tactical Evo handguard
I finished the parts in Titanium Duracoat prior to assembly
Troy BUIS
Ergo grip
Magpul AFG2
BlackHawk stock came with the PSA parts kit, probably going to change that to a Magpul STR

Thanks!  My MaTen lower is ambi. and I used a Troy ambi safty as well as the Raptor ambi charging handle.  With the ergo grip it feels exactly like my other ambi AR's.  Just can't wait to put some .308 down range.

Get her back from ADCO yesterday and she is looking sexy! Big Props to ADCO for cutting it down perfectly for me!

Also Installed my dust cover thanks to Dr. Dust Cover. He engraved the caliber in a nice small discrete size on the inside of the dust cover for me.

Still some work I need to do on it but this is what she looks like today.

By looking at all the space guns in this thread, I may be in the wrong forum?

Traded for the upper here on the EE...

14.5 barrel with pinned A1 hider, modified to midlength A1 handguards, carbine gas tube and block under the handguards, A1 front sight is set screwed on. A1 port door needed and I'm going to shave the bayo lug.

It's very well balanced with the type D stock.

I still want to upgrade to KNS gen2 mod2 trigger/hammer pins, Magpul bad lever, and a spikes tactical buffer.

Ill be building the upper.  My plans are:
Stripped upper with UPK
16" barrel, Mid-length M4 profile, with FSB, Id like to have a daniel defense barrel, but the only Mid-lenght 16" ive seen are LW profile or Gov profile.  (dont know what twist rate)
Daniel Defense Lite rail 9" midlength with FSB cutout ( as seen in towards the bottom of this thread:  https://www.ar15.com/archive/topic.html?b=3&f=118&t=528148 )
Spikes tactical NiB BCG
BCM gunfighter CH
MBUS rear FDE while i save for an EOtech, or aimpoint
