On request, here's a thread solely for notifications of ammo availability at Walmart. Posting that it's in stock is fine, as is posting that previously in stock ammo is gone. Please make sure you post where the store is if you're talking about a specific location.
I do NOT want "they had three boxes and I got them" or the like. Yay for you, but that doesn't help anyone. |

I found 1. Looking for links to bulk.

I wonder at what point the "in stock" is updated.
Called my local WM which showed the federal 100 pack in stock, sporting goods counter guy said, "aint had that in months, could be on the truck". Earlier today it was out of stock, if it would of shown in stock I'd of gone at lunch. |
|
I wish the stock was actually up to date! I called a store that online showed "In Stock" after being on hold for 10 min. I was told they haven't had any .223 for a while. I was ready to make an hour drive to Indy.
|
|
The general opinion is that when the ammo hits the loading dock it shows in stock for that store. One of my local stores showed in stock on the Federal 100 ct. .223 boxes this morning. I drove over there and caught it coming off the stocking shelf. They sold all of it while I was there. I checked online when I got home and it showed out of stock.
|
|
These are the 9mm links I have:
9mm 100-Round GMJ Ammunition Pack Federal Champion 9mm Full Metal Jacket Rounds Federal Hydra-Shok Premium 9MM, 135GR, 20-Count |
|
I've also seen items go in stock as early as the afternoon before they actually make it to the shelf. One day I walked in cause it showed they had federal in stock only to be told they didn't have it, called back in 4 hrs and they said they just pulled it from the back. So checking the availability along with calling is your best bet.
|
|
Be persistent. If is shows "In Stock" it means they have more than a couple of boxes somewhere in that store. After 2 months of nothing, my local WM showed Federal 100's in stock this morning. Shelf was completely empty as usual. SG lady proclaimed "No way we have any .223, blah blah" and just walked off. I got the guy working the fabric counter to scan the shelf tag on his little inventory gizmo and sure enough it showed 8 in stock. He went out back to the "cage" and returned with a shopping cart stacked 4 feet high with ammo cases. If it weren't for rationing, I would have left with 800 rounds today.

Same experience here, Pontiac Illinois showed stock, got there, 9 boxes of 100 value pack .223, bought 3 and less than 3 hours later, website showed back out of stock. I think it is automatically inventory updated for it to show that quick. |

Almost hate to ask this here, but does anyone have links for 7.62X39?
WalMart sure doesn't make it easy to find ammo on their site. |

If you can get someone to go check the "cage" then you'll most likely leave with 300 rounds. Getting a manager to help you is your best bet. |

I'm getting aggravated playing this game. Was fun at first but now pissing off type shit.
There are 2stores that say IN Stock. Both stores Don't sell ammo. What the fucks that about? Is the shit sitting somewhere in the back and because they don't sell it, it sits there? 2 others say limited stock but the edjumacated wallyworld peeps say... We ain't gots nun yo. |

After a deep Google search, I could only come up with a few "hidden" links. http://www.walmart.com/ip/Winchester-7.62-X-39-VP-123-Grain-Full-Metal-Jacket/16817299 http://www.walmart.com/ip/TULAMMO-7.62x39-Full-Metal-Jacket-122-grain-ammunition-20-rounds/17654689 http://www.walmart.com/ip/Winchester-Super-X-308-Caliber-Ammo/16817288 http://www.walmart.com/ip/Federal-Power-Shok-308-Winchester-150-Grain-Soft-Point/20691913 |

Thank you! Was in-stock at a Walmart 20 miles from me. I got 3 boxes fresh off the truck. Tomorrow, a ton of shit goes on the shelves....... I will be there.... 2 or 3 times.... |

My personal technique is a bit different from those I have seen here.
1. Check the local stores for the type ammo you are looking for via the links posted in the previous posts. 2. If/when you finds a store that says "In Stock" PRINT OUT THE ENTIRE SCREEN-SHOT making sure you have the top of the page that gives the UPC # and the particular store that says IN STOCK and take it with you. 3. Got to that store and if someone is at the Sporting Goods counter have them run the UPC on their scanner. If no one is there, try electronics, they are staffed 24/7. 4. If they give you ANY grief at all pull out your cell phone and call the store you are in and ask to speak to the store manager or the current supervising manager immediately.Make sure you have programmed the number into your phone before leaving the house. It works best if the Sporting Goods worker is still in front of you, but is not absolutely required. 5 This part is REALLY important: Be exceedingly polite to the manager. Get his/her name and then address him/her by name. Then simply ask him/her if it is the policy of their store to be rude and disrespectful to customers who wish to conduct business there. 6. When the manager asks what the problem is, use the name of the associate who refused to help you, and explain that you have a UPC code that the associate refuses to run, won't look in the back or whatever the problem is... 7. If the manager gets nasty, you have their name and can then call 1-800-925-6278 and use their names to complain. Follow that up with an email with date and time you were at the store, the names of the people you talked to and how unhelpful they were when all you wanted to do was spend money there. This will help corporate track down the "Sold Out" ammunition. If it is not "sold" in their computer, yet you are being told "Sold Out", The Walmart Internal Loss Prevention team is going to go to work and that can be a manager's worst nightmare. 8. Follow up. Keep on them. Call Corporate and ask if they have any news on your complaint. Takes only a few minutes and can pay dividends - like a call on my cell saying "We have that ammunition you were looking for, when would you like to pick it up?" Hopefully, they just scan the number and find the ammo, but having a backup plan can help. Honestly, the far west Phoenix, AZ area has been an ammunition desert ( ) but there have been some good scores here and there. Enough of them that I keep the links on my phone and check 3 times a day. Good Luck. |
|
I notice that when I choose the option to "Find in another store" that it hasn't been updated in three weeks. Is there any way to refresh that or is it up to Wal-Mart to do that?
|
|
Ignore the "last updated on" stuff, it is ALWAYS inaccurate... The "stock levels" ("in stock" or "limited stock") are updated approximately every hour or so...

I am asking for a link to a different brand than what has been posted (one of the kinds that I have found on the shelf recently). I even stated that I gave finding it myself a "go at it try". An man - you blew your post number "87" on this. Thanks, Red |

Anyone have .45 ACP links? I tried searching the online store and couldn't find anything.

I have found ammo using these links. Also have been told by "the manager" that the links don't work. Customer service has diminished at Wally World. Reality will strike with the next quarters earnings report. Here is a link I did not see on post #3 http://www.walmart.com/ip/CCI-22-LR-Tactical-Bullets-375-Count/21556265 |

Great thread, thanks for the links. Just left my local Walmart which said they had the Federal 100 packs in stock. Got there and wasn't any on the shelf, asked an associate to scan the bar code and the scanner said they had 5 in stock left. Called the manager and she said they were either broker boxes or stolen.

believe me its there....someone know where it is, you just got to find the right person

Me and a buddy cleaned out one of our local Walmarts of 100 rd Federal 223 and I immediately checked my phone. It showed out of stock within seconds. Their website stock is real time. This same friend of mine went to another store today that was showing "limited stock" and the sporting goods guy lied to his face saying he put it out an hour earlier but it sold out in minutes. My friend then pulled his iPhone out and showed him that the website shows it as in stock. The sporting goods guy first asked him how he got that and told him that the website doesn't allow you to search for ammo. He then went on and lied again and told him that the website just can't keep up. This all happened about an hour ago. I just checked their website and it now shows OOS. Coincidence? I think not. |

Got some Winchester USA Full Metal Jacket, .45 http://www.walmart.com/ip/Winchester-USA-Full-Metal-Jacket-.45/17056734
at lunchtime. Took 3 boxes off the self and left 3. After paying the system changed from In Stock to Limited Stock. I have had other stores deny they have the ammo when it list as Limited Stock. One manager scanned the UPC and it indicated 3 boxes on hand deliver on 2/5, but he said he did not know where it was and he handles all of the ammo inventory. Got a little testy with me. Just my experience. BTW I found Federal 223 Rem 62gr Fusion 20bx at two local walmarts this week for 22.47. I do not have a Walmart link for this premium ammo. |
|
I found a single box of Winchester 223 45gr JHP (40 rounds) on a Walmart shelf for $30.67 today. That's one I haven't seen a URL for, but its UPC is 02089221241.

I've about had it with checking Walmart. I went into the store in Lincoln the other day and asked the girl behind the counter if they had any 223. She hesitated for a moment, deciding whether she was going to tell me the truth or not and then told me they had sold out that morning. I then overheard her talking to another customer about how she sometimes hides some of the ammo. Today, the 100 round boxes of Federal showed in stock in the Omaha store for the first time all week. I drove to Omaha only to have the sporting goods guy tell me they didn't have any in. I asked him to look up the number as a previous poster suggested. He reluctantly did so and then had the same hesitation when the screen came up. He told me that it showed none in stock, but some on order. I decided to go to the customer service window and asked a manager to look up the SKU. She told me that they showed 4 boxes in stock and they definitely had none on order, so the guy obviously lied to me. She tried to track it down, but couldn't find it. If you don't have any in stock, I understand, but I'm tired of being lied to by these clerks.

one my local stores has it, but ran out of TN tax stamps for the boxes ($.10) per box.
Said the mail comes tomorrow at 1 and I should be there. He said he has 25 - 100 round packs of .223 in the cage. I shall be there at 1 |

How are you guys buying more than 3 boxes? Every Walmart within a 25 mile radius of me has a very strict 3 box limit per person per day...Now if you go when another associate is working that makes sense, but in my experience once you leave you don't stand a chance at getting more.

When I was in stl a few weeks ago the clerk interpreted it as 3 boxes per caliber. All my local ones are 3 box regardless of caliber. |

How about the new TulaMaxx brass ammo? Any links for that? This. I got 3 bxs of .223 a few weeks back. Would like to get some other calibers. They dropped from 3 to 2 bxs here. |
