Thank you. I have since replaced the trijicon with an aimpoint t2 on an absolute cowitness mount. Not that the trijicon was "too" low to use, i just prefer somthing a little higher. It really is personal preference. The nice thing about it though, is that the BUIS can be used ABOVE the reflex sight so in case of shattered or foggy glass it wont need to be removed.

It's about time I contribute to this thread.  Here's my AR9 PDW pistol. Heavily inspired by Carbonfly, RussellAthletic and others.

That puppy looks great. Specs? Curious on rail, and barrel length.

[Last Edit: SCARAB13] [#5]
It has a 5.5" QC10 barrel and the rail is a Midwest Industries cut down to ~4.7", just barely enough to get three keymod slots.  The bottom rail section is a BCM polymer keymod rail I cut to fit. More here.

I dig it. That's a clean, effective setup.

I love the small footprint concept but my build looks ridiculous with the suppressor (which is about as long as the rifle itself) hanging off the front. Plus I've found that I enjoy shooting suppressed nearly 100% of the time so I'm revamping my build with the SD look (suppressor under hand guard). Hopefully I'll have some pictures uploaded this weekend.

I must say I really enjoy the 9mm AR platform and appreciate all the growth from suppliers in parts availability/variety.

Thanks for the comments.  Like "RussellAthletic" this build keep evolving.  I have another build that has a 10" rail and a really nice Spikes 3-Lug barrel but I wanted a shorter non-SD build so I went with a shorter rail and allowed the can to protrude.  It works really well with the short Tirant 9s but a regular 8"+ suppressor looks to exposed.

Here are the build parts:
Quentin Defense Billet Upper Receiver Slick Side - Heavier by a few ounces compared to a forged or lighter weight machined upper.  I'm thinking about chaging it to save a few oz.
Odin Works 5.5 Kmod rail - Fits 1.38 OD suppressors.
DDLES Colt Pattern Lower - LRBHOA actuator works 100%.
JP 9mm Silent Captured Spring.
ProMag 9mm polymer magazine - works OK, but have not loaded it up to capacity.  Some folks have had issues.  I also have shorter 20rd Metalform Mags which I prefer.
YMM BUIS.
MFT Minimalist Stock.
BAD 45 degree selector and takedown pins.
KNS anti-rotation pins.
POF drop in trigger - single stage about 4 lbs.
MOE+ grip.
CMMG Quick Attach 9mm/22LR deflector/cover.
Unity Tactical Keymod vertical grip.
Ergo Keymod Panels - Had to cut down some of the plastic that goes into the keymod holes.  They were a little too long and left zero clearance for the flash hider and suppressor.
Knights Armament Handstop - Needed to get a shorter screw since the screw was protruding into the rail allowing for zero clearance for the flash hider and suppressor.
B&T 3-Lug Flash Hider - this is one slick flash hider...its spring loaded and goes on just like a 3-lug suppressor.
TROS 4" 3-lug barrel - was lucky enough to catch a run in which they had some spares...so I didnt have to wait weeks/months like others.
Vortex SPARC on a Bobro co-witness T1 mount - a little heavy...might go the Scalarworks Low Drag mount.

Pic with the Tirant 9S - A little louder than the full size can.  Sound reduction is noticeably less when compared side by side to a full sized can, but still very good compared to unsuppressed:

I'm loving that^^
I just switched out the sights from Hk 416 ones and I'm liking it. I wanted to go for the "SD" look but I'm loving the osprey on it. I'm trying to decide if I want to run an Aimpoint micro or just stick to irons. I'm also contemplating getting the arc stock for it when they get the 9mm buffer released for it. This is so addicting I think I'm on the 5th or 6th different version of my colt.

I love the micro on the 9mm platform. I'm hoping to have my SD wrapped up in the next week.

my first post in here...

She's not 100% what I want her to be, but she runs and runs so I can't really complain. I'm actually surprised I got this receiver direct from ddles , considering how everything went down...

On a separate line of thought, does anyone have ideas for a low profile and close in sighting system for this type of set up? I've got the iron sights zeroed for 25 yards...which is pretty well on out to like 80-90 yards, but i'd like to be able to keep the magpuls folded down and have something zeroed for 7 yards and in. I know HK has the crazy expensive sights for the MP7 that have pistol style sights, but I'm not gonna buy them and I'm not even sure that they could still be used with a cheekweld. Any ideas would be most appreciated.

       it's a UTG Pro rail...cheap...but it works

And yeah...a CAR stock it needs, I agree....but I only have one of those right now, and it's on my CQBR clone, which, bein a clone, is mo' betta

I'm sure someone will mod their bolt carrier to work but the mvb arc stock is supposed to be working on a 9mm set up. Ill get one when that's done.

Nice...whats that rail?  I was thinking of going with the Manta Tac-Wrap and a 9 or 10" keymod/M-Lok rail for a 2nd 9mm upper build.

Runs like a champ! No hiccups thus far with the H3 buffer and a Spikes spacer in the back. The flash hider is a Doublestar Carlson Mini comp.

So, from what I can guess - this is the stock that you used in the above picture

ARC Stock

Is there anything else that is needed with this set-up

Thanks

Yup, using the ARC stock with their H3 buffer and a Spike's spacer in the back of the tube. Runs like a top. As for a parts list, I'll get one up soon but that's pretty much it for what you can't see in the photo. Weight is unknown, but she's a pig that's for sure.

Its a super dynamic 2 stage.  I wanted to go with the SD3G but researched it and it looked like it wouldnt work with a ramped bolt. I compared the height of this SD and a S3G in another lower and they looked identical. By the time i got this lower I had returned the SD3G. thinking about picking up another to give it a try. I have shot a couple mags through this one and no problums thus far. resets fine and no feed issues to report. JP SCS is nice and im glad i spent the extra on it. I get some FRP on the first 2 rounds or so but after that, its pretty quiet. I think on par with my Glock 21 with a Tirant. maybe a little louder but not bad. Havent shot them side by side yet.

This is my first 3 lug setup... So far my impression is...  AWESOME!  Total drag with my other supressed guns having to always check tightness of the can etc. this 3 lug stuff is sweet! highly recomend.

I have a similar setup.  The SD3G would not work with a ramped bolt.  I bought a non ramped bolt and it is good to go.

Which ramped bolt did you try it with? When I compared side by side the SD3G and the SD 2 stage I have in there now they looked identical and even measured identical.  I wonder if the SD3G doesnt work depending on the amount of ramp. Im using a CMMG bolt right now.

So here is my addition.  Just finished her up. I love how small it is and can't wait to take it to the range.  Thanks goes to all the others with similar setups. That is where I found my inspiration.

Glock CQ10 lower
LWRC Ultra Compact Stock
BCM gunfighter grip Mod3
Slash LWRC UCS 9mm buffer
Aero upper
Tros 3-lug barrel
JP 9mm bolt
Sampson Star 4" rail
KAC grip and Scorpion Evo hand stop

So, from what I can guess - this is the stock that you used in the above picture

ARC Stock

Is there anything else that is needed with this set-up

Thanks
Peter

Thanks for putting us in the know about the ARC stock. Was really wanting to use the NEA stock on my 9mm build but messing with buffer weights on a blowback is something I'd rather not (at this point).

Also didn't know an H3 buffer was nearly the same weight as a 9mm. Not something you get to thinking about when through all these numbers and $$ signs.

Yeah MVB actually just released their 9mm dedicated buffer a couple days ago as well. It's the same weight as their H3 buffer, however it allows you to keep the weight in your BCG adding to the overall mass. Mine should be here tomorrow, hopefully it'll slow down the action a bit.
