I do not know if this has been asked or tried before

Has anyone ever taken a 308 and taken an adams arms kit and taken the old part that you replace the gas key with to turn a regular bolt carrier into a piston bolt carrier. Then used an adams arms piston kit on a 308 AR DPMS TYPE RIFLE

Replace gas key with piston carrier key

Gas key is for AR 15 platform only.

I understand that but it will still fit the 308 bolt carriier. There's been alot of things that have been only and have worked in different ways. I'm asking if anyone has ever tried it or seen it done.
