I am thinking about ordering the Adam Arms TAC EVO mid 16" XLP upper and I wonder what buffer weight to use with this upper?   Does it use a normal carbine buffer or does it need a heavier buffer?   I have no experience with piston upper.

Almost all the AA's uppers are designed around a Standard weight Carbine Buffer (3 oz) and spring, as compared to the H2 Buffer (4.6 oz).
This is not to say that a H2 will not work, but best to start with the Standard and tune up or down from there depending on your loads and shooting needs.
