I bought a complete LMT Defender lower off of a direct impingement rifle and also purchased a 16" LMT MRP piston upper.

Are there any differences between LMT lowers built for DI/built for piston uppers?

The upper includes an H2 buffer and that will be installed into my lower. I noticed on some pictures on a Google image search that some of the buffer tubes had an extended tube to help reduce carrier tilt wear. I can't tell if those tubes are LMT or not. I understand that the LMT shouldn't have the carrier tilt issue but I'd still like to have the exact setup as a factory MRP piston rifle.

Thank you.

LMT lowers are standard... no difference between DI and Piston set ups.
