I recently put this video together reviewing the 10" TD 415 upper, discussing the findings of Ron at Battlefield Vegas, and reviewing information from a phone conversation with Todd Bailey about the future of the HK 416 clone uppers. I was planning this video and wanted to know what I could say about how many uppers were going to be available from the "spare parts" that were being assembled and sold on GunBroker. When Todd answered the phone I told him my intentions and told him I was just looking for information I could share in the video about the future of the clones and if it was quickly coming to an end. We had a long and detailed conversation about the rights being sold and another company currently manufacturing the parts for a "new and improved" HK 416 clone. The changes included lowering the receiver height to the same as the HK416, offering hand guards in rails, keymod or M Lock, and different calibers. He said Adam at HKParts.net would be the one marketing them, and the quality of the machining, fit and finish was going to be higher, but at a higher price as well. I know Todd has a lot of internet enemies. I am not here to defend him. I just know that my TD 415 upper runs well, and would like to know that there will be a supply of HK 416 clones in the future. I did go to HKParts.net after talking to Todd and did see where Adam has listed a "TD 416 Gen 2" and 300 Blackout conversion. Neither available but they are listed which is encouraging.
So are there any insiders here that can shed some light on the future of HK416 clones? I would like to know that I did not spread misinformation. Anyone on this board connected to Adam at HKParts.net? What can we verify as a group.
Thanks for any additional information.

All I know is that the .300 blackout conversion is going to be for sale sometime the end of the first quarter this year.

Didnt know about them lowering the riser to match the handguard.  Makes the wait that much harder..
