I can't speak to the UCIW, but on the M6 and M6AK it's a matter of getting the intermediate rod clear of the piston cup by pushing it back into the receiver while pushing the cup forward: you need every fraction of an inch you can get.

Been trying that technique with no luck. Seems it is to short to get it separated enough to get that fraction of an inch. |
