Does anyone out there know of any shops that do custom or prototype hand guard work?

I have a vision of the rail I would like to design around my piston gas block that essentially cuts out a piece of the top rail (to accommodate the block) and then continues the rail on the other end.  Generally the rails will cut out around the piston but no longer continue past. (Samson and Fortis both have a version like this)

But in my mind...this is useless for any lights or accessories.  I mount my weapon light on the top rail section, when I mount on the side I pick up a nice void in the light that the barrel blocks out and my grip has to change.  I am not opposed to hacking my own rail with a saw and files but was curious if anyone has hit this market yet?
