I have several Osprey pistons and love them. All are mounted under MI free float rails. Good in their day, but they are heavy compared to the rail systems out now. Who can tell me of a lightweight rail that is free floating and will clear an Osprey? All I want to be able to do is mount a few rail sections on the bottom for VFG and bipod. Thanks. U mm mm pretty much the same choices as a few years ago as far as I know. Osprey is a nice system but it has remained stagnate in its design. About two years ago the folks at osprey told me they would have a new "slim" model out in a few months. That was 2 years ago and have not heard anything about it since..... Best of luck to you

The new seekins barrel nut should allow you to use the Seekins Handguards.

Might try the MI SS Gen II. Barrel nut is basically a milspec backwards. I am running the AA XLP under one with just a shortening of the drive-rod spring, otherwise it runs fine. I think the Osprey would tuck under it quite nicely, and the FFHG feels nice and is quite lite.

You should inquire with Primary Arms whether their store brand (made by Seekins Precision) rails will clear.
