I just bought the upper at: http://www.adamsarms.net/16-mid-base-upper-blem

I really like it, but it didn't hit me that it didn't have a front attachment for the sling. Could I get suggestions on how to hook a sling up the rifle? There are times that having one can help keep your hands free.

I would go get a rail with QD sockets built in. MI rails are good and budget friendly.

Cheapest option would be a Magpul MOE handguard then add a sling adapter or QD mount.

Added small rail on forward end of handguard, QD attached to rear of rail behind bipod.
This ones faces down, others face to the side. You could also mount the QD on top of the gas block.

I have a MOE handguard on my AA. I used this IWC qd attachment.

I used a Fortis RAP QD (in front of a Mbus Pro front sight) on mine. Works great. The Fortis is the narrowest QD mount there is, so it leaves room for a buis on that gas block rail.
