looking into replacing my sig 516 (pictured on page 139 of "SBR Picture Thread Part II") with the LWRC UCIW. The main reason was accuracy as my 516 tend to lose grouping after 200 Yards. LWRC claims that the UCIW was fired for accuracy at 50 yards, producing an average group size of 1.16 inches. The 90-grain Federal Gold Dot produced an average velocity of 2,450 fps from the 8.5-inch barrel. Most reviewers whom were able to take the rifle to the range agree, but Id like to hear it from the forum. Has anyone tried it to agree? Thanks

Lots of guys there have them and shoot them, as well as the guys that developed them, tested them, and the ammo you're speaking of.

I have a UCIW for about 3 years now. Got one when it first came out. It is built like a tank and runs like a swiss watch. I have a few thousand rounds through mine without incident.

For me however, it is not a target rifle. I run an Eotech on mine and practice out to 100 yards with it. Plenty accurate for my needs.

I did once put a 10X Bushnell Elite on it and shot at 50 and 100 yards. Just as accurate as any of my other LWRCs. Which means I can easily shoot a 2" 5 shot group at 100 yards with it. Can it do better than that? Yes. Does it hold out to 300 yards? I don't know.

I do know with the right ammo, it is effective out to 300 yards. Most of the barrier blind loads will expand down to 1600 fps. I use Gold Dots, and have seen test where they expand out to 200 yards from an 8" barrel. Good enough for me.
