Are there any rails that fit the M6A2 without any sort of machine work? I'm having a tough time finding a definitive answer.

I have had a hard time finding longer rails for my m6a2 also, I called LWRC and was told they are working rail conversion for the carbine length rifles. I did call around and talked with 2 shops that sell LWRC. I was told the Fortis would fit, so I ordered one and it did not fit. I took the Samson  evo rail off my Colt and it was tight but it did fit. hope that helps

Keymod belongs on factory shelves. If you must go with a direct attach method because you are constantly switching components between rifles go with m lock. But realistically screw on rail panels will work best for most users. I've also heard stuff falls off keymod.

You can retro fit a samson evolution keymod onto the M6 varients.  There's a thread on LWRCI forum somewhere.  Here's a picture of a samson evo (rainier arms not keymod version) on my LWRC PSD.

Here's a Samson EVO handguard on my M6A2 (top).  I've since traded the gun, but the handguard fit very well.

Right, so you've "heard" this. Never had anything fall of any of my guns with keymod rails. Sounds like a load of horseshit.

Some people can't figure out which "quote" button goes with which post, and don't bother to proofread their post before submitting it.

Finally. I thought I was the only person that thought this. I'd like to see MLOK on the M6-IC actually.

Does the Mlock for sure fit on? I don't want to buy something and not have it fit. I want something that's lighter than my quad rail since I am tiny.

Not sure I understand your question. MLOK is just a means to attach accessories like KeyMod and the Picatinny rail. For an aftermarket rail to fit on the IC, it would have to link up with the forward boss on the IC's receiver like the stock one does.

I own an m6a2 from back when they only came with quad rails and I've managed to get a Centurion Arms C4 12" rail to fit on it over the piston with a considerable amount of amateur dremel work.

Which Fortis rail are you referring to? The REV looked large enough that I was tempted to find out if it would fit but never got around to it. The new Switch rail series they just came out with has me salivating though, it looks very similar to the samson in terms of profile and shape around the piston area. Having it be keymod would be a nice upgrade, but more importantly being able to just flip it off with their clamp design and have easy access to the piston for cleaning or whatever would be a huge improvement over having to completely take off the rail as I have to now with the C4 rail.

Does anyone know if the Fortis Switch fits over the LWRC piston? If not a drop in replacement, is there a possibility to dremel off a small amount of material and have it function?
