I own a ruger Sr-762.  I need to know the thread pattern for the rifle so I can put a muzzle break on.  Please provide thread information and your best recommendation for a muzzle break.  I am looking for one that reduces recoil the most.  If it also hides some flash, all the better.  A drop-in trigger recommendation would help too. Please post pics if ya got em. Thanks!

thread should be 5/8x24, I recommend a Dynamic Resistance brake, it did the best when we tested it along with a common brakes on the market.

Brakes generally are pretty poor at hiding flash, so best to get the most recoil reduction without being highly "blasty"

I like the Surefire Comp Brakes on my AR10 and new Colt LE901, but I also mount a suppressor for cutting the blast, but that is a NFA thing.

I have also found the Ops Inc brakes are pretty good, but both the Surefire and Ops Inc brakes (both brakes and suppressor mount brakes) make it uncomfortable for people who may shoot beside you.

Best to see which brakes either Surefire or Allen Engineering (I think Ops Inc is out of business) can recommend for the Ruger SR762 muzzle threads.

I can recommend both without reservation for 7.62, with the side blast issue not withstanding.

I like the Geiselle, but if it will fit in the Ruger AR, LMT makes a nice 2 stage trigger also.

Good shooting.
