I'm curious to know on the new systems like the M6 IC, how long the spring last or if it ever needs to be replaced? I know they beefed up the whole piston system with the IC but I'm curious still and I figured I'd ask.

I wish I could find the link as there was a guy on here who bent one and broke the other
I have three LWRC with no issue but  they all have very low round count

The post you're referring to is for the older design. Wasn't an IC rifle, as OP is asking about.

Hmmm I have Two IC's and one M6A2 SPR and they use the same spring. They sell two different springs but the SPR and IC's are listed under the same spring code on LWRC's website. So it sounds like the "other" spring was the one broken

The SPR and IC series use the same spring and spring cup.

All other models use a different spring and spring cup (the standard model).

I'm banking on 3k-5k rounds, they're cheap so I bought like 3 extras and we will see how long they last.

They had an issue with a supplier on those springs a few years ago. The newer flatwire spring is recommended to be replaced every 5k. I have one running over that, it seems fine, might change it out one day.

Cans are a bit harder on them, or so I'm told.

It's an easy mistake to make.

I did quite a bit of digging/reading after buying my M6A2SPR.  The spring/cup are amongst the diversions from the standard models.
