I am interested in purchasing an LWRC IC AR-15, however, there are so many different versions..

  • ICR5B16SPR - 12in rail, self regulated gas block, fluted barrel, sling mount index plate

  • ICER5B16 - 9in rail, 2 position gas block, fluted barrel, bayonet lug, fluted barrel, sling mount index plate

  • M6A2R5B16IC - 9in rail, bayonet lug, straight barrel, standard index plate

  • ICBR5B16 - 9in rail, straight barrel, standard index plate, standard charging handle(non ambi)

All of them seem to have full ambi lowers, same stock, sights, & pistol grip.

I have no concern/interest in a fluted barrel, so that does not really matter to me.

Few questions:
Did I missed a model or any differences?
Are there any differences in the rails besides length?
Which one you would pick and why?
What are all the piston/gas block differences?

I believe there are more models,  all the IC models have the ambi lowers, stocks, sights & grips that are the same.  That's pretty standard with most manufacturers to have the same stock, grips and sights amongst many models.  I prefer the fluted barrel, it's a weight savings.  To my knowledge besides the rail length, I don't think there is much difference.  I believe the A5 models have the front sight on the gas block.  Some prefer the shorter rails for positioning of the grip on the rail, same can be said for the longer rails.  Another thing to do is go to LWRCI website and download the catalog.  Most people also like the ambi-charging handle for when running courses/competitions or if you are a lefty.
