OK,
I picked up one of Adams Arms carbine piston guns  just recently.  I want to remove the plastic handguards and replace them with the UTG Rail Carbine Length Super Slim Free Floating Handguard MTU005SS. I've looked all over the net and can't seem to find anyone that has tried these.  Does anyone no first hand if they will work?

Thanks....

[s][s] I know EXACTLY what you mean.  Ive been doing research and ordering parts, (this will be my first upper build) for the last week or 2.  between just really getting into customizing firearms (other than just ordering and bolting on after market parts), being new to gas piston ARs, and trying to find the answer to this question i believe i shorted out the right and left sides of my brain so i have decided that ordering a UTG SS in 15in just to see for myself if it will work with Adams "lite" gas block on a rifle length upper it would be better to put my $$ to work and give my brain a rest. the site i ordered my AA from called it a low profile, adams customer support was quick to tell me after I recieved my kit to then find out it is only "low"  in the sence that it is lower and wieghs less than the railed gas block but wouldnt go under any rails,  the XLP would, which this site doesnt stock. *why "extra low profile" if there is apprently no low profile?* unless im missing something i see no real advantages to the "lite" vs the railed gas block, infact with the samson relieved type FF looks better with the railed block IMHO plus you have the extra few inches to move your front sight down the barrel.... i think the "lite" should have been left on the drawing board and let the XLP and the railed block be the options on the menu, certainly would have saved me some time and likely $ by the time i finish the build and im no closer to the range with my new "SPR" than i was when i first decided how i was going to build this upper. they have yet to answer my follow up question. So i decided to roll the dice,  if it works awesome got a great deal on  the piston kit and found a FF that would cover the gas block with out having to upgrade to the XLP, or settle for a $200 rail that has the cut out section that sticks out like a sore thumb on a nice build. if i have to mod the UTG SS it then so be it, if it will not work i will exchange it for a relieved ff and send the piston kit back for the railed block kit, or wait til Aug. for the XLP gas block to be an upgradable part and rock the plastic handguards while breaking in my barrel. ive do
ne all the conceptualizing i can do on this upper, its time to just get started and figure out the asthetics of the build as i go, and options allow. i will take pix either way and post my findings UTG SS FF 15" rail should be here 7.1.14, 18" barrel hopefully by the 6th but with Indepence Day in the middle of the week it will get here when it gets here.

this was my first post and after a half assed proof read it seems to make sence but i dozed off twice while reading so who knows....couldnt find the spell check andi typed it on a tablet

I would be happy just to know if the 7 inch carbine slim utg would work.  I really haven't looked to find one that would cover the block (don't think thats possible, just to big). I have a question out to UTG but I'm not to hopeful on their response...

This Seekins forestock has a small section of the upper rail cut out for the Adams Arms gas block. I covered it with the plastic filler just for appearance sake.

Seekins rail hand guard. Not sure what they call that model. It does come with an aluminum barrel nut so it can be used on any milspec upper. This gun has the upper from Seekins so it doesn't use the aluminum nut it uses a titanium nut which I had to modify to work with the Adams Arms piston kit.

You can look at Samson and Midwest for rail options too.

Which Samson rail fits the carbine kit? I have an older AA carbine kit. Is it the 7 extended or 9 extended?
Thanks

7" for the carbine length. You can also get the 7" extended. It will have a cut out on top to fit around the gas block.

order 7 ex and 4 inch rail extension, then you will have total 10.5 + 4  inch rail on 16 inch barrel.
