I'm looking for a light & balanced AR platform rifle that was design for the piston system... ready from factory.
Can I put great value and highest quality parts in the same asking sentence? The MK114 just caught my eye,
but I need more info. Yes I'm a newbe looking for my 1st AR because finally now is the time, happy birthday 2me.

I have carried AR/ M4/ M16s for over 2 decades but, wanted a piston system for my personal use and did alot of research lat year.....
For me out of about 6 Companies, it came down to the Stag 8T and Sig 556.
After lots of phone calls and emails and getting to speak first hand to Stag reps, always getting my emails answered within days; not to mention thier warranty; I went with the Stag.....
Very happy I did so.

If you get the MK114, you won't be disappointed. PWS makes some fine rifles.

While not an AR, the sig 556 is a fairly nice rifle, and they've recently introduced the 556xi series, which will be available for caliber conversions (as well as a lower that accepts AK magazines) and such later this year.

I just ordered an mk114 mod1 upper for $1279 shipped and I can't wait for it to get here. Once I was able to locate a store to get my hands on one, I immediately went home and placed the order. PWS  (mk114mod1 rifle = 6lbs 8oz) uppers/rifles feel way lighter than LWRC m6a2s (7lbs 3 oz). Not as pretty as LWRC but the complete rifle felt almost a pound lighter and the balance was better as well.

Plus there is something very sexy about the PWS, it's almost like a sleeper rifle. Or like a lady in the streets but a freak in the sheets, that's PWS, looks nice and simple, but gets the job done better than most and is probably one of the more innovative companies I have found in the Black rifle market.

Prior to my purchase last week, the only gas piston rifle or upper I owned was Adams Arms, and it is a great upper that functions flawlessly for me. But I felt it was time for me to get another piston upper.
After holding the LWRC and holding the PWS, I came away with a strong love for the PWS. If you want a rifle that is absolutely gorgeous and a work of art, get a LWRC because they are amazing looking rifles and they are heavy duty.  BUT, if you want a sexy, understated and underrated lightweight AR with the reliability of the AK long-stroke gas piston system.... Get the PWS MK1 mod1

The person I purchased the mk114 mod1 from also sells complete rifles for $1749 shipped. He ships the upper to you and the lower to the ffl so the ffl doesn't rip you off for dros.  The only think I don't care for on the PWS  is the cheap stock and buis. But you can replace all of that and still it would be cheaper than comparable piston rifles.
