One of the best variants I think and has become a personal favorite, all of the coolest features on it especially the wood. No lame Port charging or FSB, but the four piece HGs and Sudan pattern upper, FSB, grip, the late style selector, BHO and buttstock. Does this one have a fluted barrel? Thanks for posting!

I would say "look closely" but the photo resolution tends to hide some important details. The following features distinguish this Transitional from other variants::
The upper looks Sudanese but has a large diameter pivot pin like a Portuguese AR10.
The FSB looks Sudanese but is from a different casting that has a more rounded contour above the barrel.
The bold stop (BHO) looks Portuguese but lacks the pin hole and is fixed to the lower in the same manner as the Sudanese bolt stop.
This Transitional has a Sudanese style buttstock but with a brown Portuguese style buttpad. Some Transitionals had Porto stocks.
Note the front sling holder is unique with a rounded opening. The rear is similar and hinges but the photo does not show it.
This one has an unfluted barrel with a Portuguese profile. I have heard that some were fluted.
The charging handle is reinforced as compared to a Sudanese charging handle. The Guatemalan AR10s also had a reinforced CH.
The handguard retaining ring is steel on some Transitional AR10s.
The walnut handguards are signed (inside) by the A.I. employee who carved them.
