I picked up another Colt 3x20 and from all angles, I can only see that this is a "genuine" colt piece.  One thing is bothering me is the lack of magnification it has; at best it's "seems" like a 1.5x or 2x.  I have another Colt scope as a reference and two things stick out: magnification and the different duplex rectical.

First photo is the duplex of my purchase today, second photo is another Colt scope(same generation)

Next are some angle photos of the new scope.  This one seems to have HALF of the magnification of the other one.  The rear sight glass seems to function as intended and tight fitting like the other scope

Is there anything that could cause a factory, untampered with scope to have a lower amount of magnification?  Also, did these scopes have different duplex noted in its history?  I'm just curious if anyone has seen this in your experience with these scopes?  Thanks
