This is kinda retro at least the look.

Has anyone ever gotten one of these?

I am just wondering about it. Don't have the funds available for the real Mccoy always wanted one but they go up and up in auctions.
I just want an honest opinion before spending $100.

I have seen Tony's stocks at a gun show....

Going to cost a little more but I would recommend Essential Arms (link) instead (C2) ^^^...still cheaper than a real Colt...look better than Tony's

Verses starting a new thread, I thought see if I could get some way in here.

I have an EA and I'm very please with it. I have been wanting an original Colt for another build and watch this stock right up to end of auction but failed to pull the trigger. I was torn weather it was an original colt or an EA. Something about the coating just does look the same as a Colt. What's the hives thought? Did I let an original colt slip through the cracks for $200? After emails with the seller, he would not stand behind the auction and give a guarantee for it to be a colt. (I think that's what cause my hesitation.

that one is not a colt.  looks like one of mine i sold a few years back.  i got some unfinished aluminum castings that a member here machined out and had powdercoated.  they looked ok but the castings weren't perfect.  the sling loop and shininess and thicker buttpad area makes me think it was one of mine.  also the texturing on the buttpad is different than a colt.

Some of the surface contours are too sharp in the auction example.

The real deal looks like it has less metal and more coating.

I have one of these that I like real well. Be advised they ship with a mil-spec tube but are really cut for a commercial tube. The mil-spec tube can work but the stock is very loose. There are commercial diameter tubes out there that are mil-spec length and work with this stock (I luckily had one in the parts box). It is solid and well made.

Anyone tried M&A?

I have one; it is a fiberlite type stock, not aluminum as in the subject of this thread.  But it is a very nice quality fiberlite clone, mil-spec diameter, and inexpensive.

(I just checked it; It fits snug on a mil-spec tube; a commercial tube will not go in at all)

I recommend the M&A to anyone looking for a fiberlite clone.

Thanks everyone I am going to go with a M&A Clone one. I like the look more than anything.
