One of my C7's has bent ears. I can get a shot of it when I get home tonight.
It's not like they're bent in half, just caved in a little. |

You can bend them back to their proper position, but, it takes a little care and patience. I had to bend the "wings" on a 603 Upper Receiver awhile back, and it worked fine. I actually saw how to do it in an M16 Maintenance Manual. Sorry, can't remember which one, or which page. |

We had several in my first unit with that type of damage.
Someone posted one here on the retro forum within the past 3 years I think that was pretty bad. |

I had always heard that the ones with bent wings were super rare and highly sought after, and might would command many dollars.
