A former patient and now friend emailed me these photos tonight and posting them for your enjoyment with his permission

He told me he knew he had two sets of 601 furniture and found he in fact had a third set!

A re-weld transferable XM receiver. I so want this but not for sale and doubt I could afford it if it were

I'm sure he will be by to check out the thread as I'm forwarding him a link but now I just want to rummage through his parts and see what he's willing to sell me!

Wow... he could make a lot of people happy with some of those parts!   Nice to know some stockpiles still remain out there!

Let the battle for parts begin!  (and yeah, I don't think I can afford any of it - so I will just watch)

I don't think he's interested in parting with any of it but I'll let him speak for himself if he stops by.

He just likes to taunt me with things he's not willing to sell to me

I'd like to have the Re-Welded XM 16 E1 Lower Receiver, and the Early Square Forge (Rebated below the Port Door) Upper Receiver, if you please.

Nice stash of parts.  I would love to acquire a set of the 601 furniture for myself.

Is that a MAc 10 suppressor in the photo?

Nice parts collection, I could use a left side green 601 hand guard or green pistol grip

I think so. He was a class 3 dealer in the past and has some cool class 3 stuff too so it wouldn't surprise me.

According to the owner it was a re-weld done from a de mil lower prior to the 1986 ban. Why do you say not a re-weld? Well I guess othe than the technical that it was never welded prior so thus technically a weld and not a re-weld

What rear section did he use?

I'm not sure but can ask him. I took it that it was 2 demils combined to make one. I hope it's not an A2 but still wouldn't keep me from coveting it!

Who knows, that was back in the day when they just band saw cut them once to demil so maybe its the matching front and rear section?
