Thanks for the video. On the rack for a little while? Why hasn't someone bought it?

Cool--thanks!  I'm always excited to find new vids and articles about these old rifles!

Interesting that they fitted a modern AR10 extractor to the old bolt.  I'll have to remember that, just in case!

If anyone is near Tombstone, AZ and wants to play with an old AR10, it appears they have it among their "rental" guns!

I'm going to have to call and see if they will sell it.

I am on a mission to find one, I mean I already bought some waffle mags in the EE.

is the charging handle supposed to move that much when firing? At one point the rod almost hits him in the face. Thought they stayed put, forward.

So did I. It's looks like the Portuguese version would stay in place, though.

The charging handle is supposed to be stationary when firing.

This video show a Guatemalan AR10 at full auto.  The charging handle does not move.

This is one of the best videos I have seen on the original AR10.

At ~12:20 he talks about parts that were retrofitted by a previous owner:
-gas rings interchange with modern AR10
-retrofitted modern AR10 parts to replace some  missing parts:
  -cam pin
  -firing pin
  -extractor

I assume there was some shop work involved but this is good info to file away.

Thats some good sky shooting, wonder how moany of those rounds left the range. It takes less than a minute to learn how to control recol doing the push the car drill. Totally negligent.
