Sad...but still not as bad as the one with the M4 treatment, I've seen from the Class 3 dealer who does our local gunshows.

Does not appear to be a cast FSB, which makes sense as the barrel is later. Like KKid said, all the other parts are gone...

That is a GM Hydramatic barrel. I agree it is overpriced @ the BiN, but it would be a fun restoration if one had cash to burn. Plus you could have the start of a nice GM build with the barrel!

Buy it Now at $34k??
Hell, I'll sell mine for $34k and it is original.

It really annoys me to see sellers say "all parts are original" when they either don't know if it's true, or they know it's not true but don't care.
I'd love to give him the benefit of the doubt, but if you're selling a rifle in that price range, you owe it to your customers to know what they hell you're talking about.

I've asked him for a photo of the upper and the sight wheel, and of the gas tube and inside of the handguards.
Once we see it all, maybe we can provide him with a friendly education and help him understand where the rifle falls short..

Frank G. owns these guns for like 5 minutes before they are listed, and he pretty much lists them as they were presented when sold to him.
I have noticed that he tends to quickly change his listing to refect information he receives from the observing herd.

Cool serial number.  Is that an aftermarket (Bushmaster) grip on it?

i've seen A1 grips with the circle impression before but not sure if it's attributed to Bushmaster.  there are B marked grips that were found on the Bushmaster/Gwinn Assault Rifles/Armspistol.

Looks like at least the upper receiver (not barrel) is 601? Take a look at the ejection port cover spring. Looks like it's in the receiver. Can't believe he wouldn't have better pics, especially when trying to sell an "all original parts' 601 for $34k

Frank sent me a few pics today, but not one of the rear sight wheel (he sent shots of the rear sight from behind, but I want to see the side, and to verify the upper receiver).
However, it does have a late-bend gas tube, and the handguards have drainholes.

So we know that at least the barrel, gas tube, handguards, pistol grip, stock and BCG are not original.  It does look to me like it has an Edgewater buffer, so I'm going to guess it also has the original buffer tube.  If we give benefit of the doubt and assume that the FCG is original, I'd think the rifle could be restored for around $3k (and plenty of patience while you shop for original parts).

I also observed that the bolt is not the chromed 601, the charging handle has been changed, it does not have the rectangular shape.
