I guess you would call it a BHD carbine?

The f marked FSP is annoying but it seems like it's going to zero fine.

Cool looking carbine, the only thing a little out of place would be the M4 profile barrel, but I still like it! And yes it fits in fine here, thanks for sharing

It is kind of a cross between a late model 723 (barrel, FSB, and stock) and a 653 (A1 upper and pistol grip). The FH appears to be a custom-made ext. A1. There is also a tick-marked selector. All in all, it is a neat looking build.

Pound out those taper pins and swap that bugger.

I want to strangle whoever thought the F marked FSB was a good idea.

Yeah let's change the design of a more expensive hard to change part instead of changing the design of the 5cent super easy swappable front sight post.

Perfectly acceptable. Thats the current barrel configuration for USAF GAUs.

I like the shim too, thats the route I went with mine also.

There won't be any changing of fsb for now. I made that extended a1 today and pinned it. I put an f marked because I couldn't find a standard in .750 anywhere I looked. And I also had this barrel assy- so I'll just have to turn down my fsp a little bit.

It stands to reason that once a barrel went on a flat top upper that never again would it go back the other direction.

For the military, there really is no downside to it.

We even have the occasional IDF build in here with a similar configuration, but only once in awhile!

There comes a stage where patina is more important than making it look like everyother MGB in the wild.

To me, that is the ideal carbine.  Stick a type D stock on it and see what you think.  Makes for an amazingly rigid and well pointing gun.
