Does anyone have any idea if these exist and if so where to get a copy? Forgive me if this has been discussed before.

Hmmmmm.   I don't know if there is one specifically on the E1. There is one for the E2, which is POMM9-1005-294-14/1, and there is one for the "Sub Machine Gun, 5.56mm, Colt Car-15.........which is the POMM for the 607.  You can try doing some searching here. SAR is a treasure trove of old info, manuals, etc.  Use the SEARCH box and function and try various "key" words.

I went searching on the net and all I found was this

I guess it's from the M16a1 comic book.

Maybe 57Octane will be along and he can give you the scoup. He's pretty much the retro "manual" guru. He has duplicated a couple of them and they are the schitz.   Aside from having the correct manual for a particular arm, and the "coolness" of having said manual, is there something in particular that you are looking for, information wise?  I really can't remember seeing an XM177/E1 specific manual......so I'm guessing that the info on those 2 are included in manuals for other models. For example........most of what is in the E2 POMM would apply to the other 2.........most, not all.   Then, there might be some info in the one for the xm16e1, etc, etc.

Yeah, I had seen that comic book online and print on demand, but would like the real deal. OOps, its that last page of the comic book I have!

Nice that they give the part numbers in that little exploded view.

I am just starting a 609 build and wouldn't mind getting all the info I can. I refuse to believe one doesn't exist. My stubbornness gets in the way sometimes.

If this works, it is a link to the SAR page I posted earlier. The E2 POMM is the 3rd entry down. Click on the review button, and it should open up.  You'll have to save it as a file to your puter. You might be able to print it from your saved file.

Edit.........OK, that didn't work.  Go back up to the link I posted up top and click on it. In the search function there you can put in xm177e2 and THEN you can open the POMM for the E2

No sir, I am not.  That site was "uncovered" by another member here a few months back. I think it was known for some time before that, but the info was on a much smaller scale, then the vast archive was opened for public viewing.  There have been some very nice informational break throughs since the opening of that archive.

Tanks Bro!

I downloaded that sucker so fast I made my own head spin!

The pictures are more beautiful than in any USGI manuals I've ever had!

The manual that's been posted and talked about pretty much covers both the E1 and the E2. Colt's CM-104 has a few more, small, bits of information.

There is a manual specific to the E1 but, I've never seen it outside of a book. I couldn't tell you what's in it. The comic book does list the parts specific to the E1 though.

I really wish I could find a copy of that manual, just to see what's actually in it.

Do you remember what book you saw it in? There has to be a way to find one. I like a good challenge.

I found it in "The Black Rifle". It's on page 230. I have a scan of the page somewhere... all it shows is the cover.

You think it's tough trying to find a 609 TM, try finding an IDF Carbine Training Manual, It's all in Hebrew, no cartoon ladies, and it comes only in boring black and white. Theres pictures, but of the gun in exploded format, and of the gas system showing the working parts, and the parts that need to be inspected regularly, every name for all the parts are in Hebrew, and how to fix various issues. Took me 6 months to find the real deal IDF carbine TM. LOL

Might try Rock Island Arsenal. They published it, I'd be shocked if there wasn't a copy around there somewhere.
