I never find anything good at gunshows, I dont go too often since its pretty much all shit, but I actually bought something today for the first time in a long time.

$20, how'd I do?

Its steel with no markings on the floorplate or anywhere else. Plastic follower

In my 602 with my 603 for comparison.

Now I just need to get my SBR paperwork filed on my 607 project

Did good for $20. I have one of the same ones, new condition, I think I paid $45-$50 for it.

No clue who made them though.

Is the black plastic follower notched for the bolt hold open? Does it have the AR15 mag slot? You did great for $20 with some free character thrown in. ArmaLite used to sell those with the Costa Mesa AR18/180 rifles in the early 1970s.

Yup, the plastic follower holds the bolt open on both my AR180 and AR15s. I was very happy to find it.

I think you did very well.

For those who are wondering how to identify these mags I recently made a post about them on my blog.

OP, you got yourself a great find !!!

Those are the exact Mag's I'm looking for.  Plus I'm also looking for straight 20's of the same design, with the AR Mag Catch Slot on the left side.

I'd love to be able to get some for $20 each.

**On a side note, these AR18/180 Mag's will work perfectly in the NDS-15 Prototype Lower Receivers, because these receivers do not have the internal groove in left side of the Magwell

for the bump that is under the standard AR16/M16 Mag Catch Slot.  To work properly in the NDS-15 Prototype Lower, that bump has to be removed from existing mags.

Same thing happened to me last year, vendor had one on his table. I asked how much for the AR180 mag. After repeatedly trying to correct me that it was an AR15 mag, I said fine, how much for the AR mag. Got it for $20, steel, 40 rounder. Funny thing is, the same vendor had a stack of them last month at the same gun show, stickered at $40. These were a bit different though, they looked brand new. He also knew they were AR180 mags this time.

Shit, I would have walked on by and laughed at the dude for pricing a USGI mag for $20

I had one of those full curve AR180/15 mags when I had my AR180 back in the day.  I sold it with the weapon.  Wish I had kept it.
