so I picked up two of these for $23 shipped. Not too bad for the price, they have been discussed before.

Here are some pics(on an SP1 upper) Maybe I'll leave them outside for a few weeks to age them a bit.

Geeze for less than 12 bucks apiece shipped how can you go wrong? I ordered two even though I just need one.

If you set them side by side with originals they have tiny differences. But hey, I only know because I bought two also

Folks, Take it from an old Fart like me.

These A1 doors are spot on the money.  Worth every penny..  Once they're gone they are gone.  I have ZERO affiliation with the seller.  Bless him for providing a near dead nuts repro.

Well, not spot on, but pretty darned good.
Here's a post from a while back with detail pics.  The guy was very good to work with.

The ones in my pic look nothing like the ones in that thread, they actually look real close to the Colt's that are pictured.

I think you got us on that one.  The second batch does appear to have a thinner rib that ends closer to the hinge pin. Nice. Wonder who is making these? Someone has a stamping set up?

Now that I look at your pics again, I agree--they are much closer to the original. (Apologies--I saw the link to the same seller and didn't look that close at the pics.)
I knew he was changing to the gray park--that was something I suggested (like I said, he was easy to work with)--but he must've also changed suppliers or changed stamps because the reinforcement ribs do come down further than they did and the roll is closer to the original.
Much improved!

I was communicating with him when he ran out the first time, and he said he'd have to order some more--so I assume he's not manufacturing them himself.
Someone's doing a nice job, though!

LOL, I was going to place a brownells order for 1 A2 port door and  crush washers because I'm out of A2 doors and need one ASAP and have one crush washer left and it's not one that I'd use on a brand new build with a $100.00 Comp.

Someone said he jacks the price up when he's run out of product so no one will order one. Probably saves him relisting fees.

Ok, I kinda thought maybe that was the deal.  Says he has more than 10.  I know that sellers love to inflate that amount even when they have zero.

I hope he re-ups.
