Bought a Colt sp1 yesterday. Is there supposed to be a crush washer to index the wrench flats on a birdcage flash hider or do they set at what ever position the tighten at?  the 2 piece pivot has been replaced with some type of quick release pin is there a source for an original? And last. Where can I find original stock screws?

The fh would have had a lock washer (split washer) behind it.

And to clarify, the lock washer is just to keep the FH from coming loose.  There is no need to "index" a birdcage or even a 3-prong FH.

Oh, ok. I thought maybe the wrench flats were parallel or horizontal to the siight base. It has a lock washer , but the wrench flats are at an angle. Made me wonder. Any idea on a 2 piece pivot pin.
