I finally got this thing done.

The build was easy thanks to WA-Tom at liemohn manufacturing.

I got the DOE barrel assembly from him, I went with a Rock River 9mm bolt, mag well adapter, buffer and LPK. The lower is a Nodak, buffer tube, stock and upper are Colt. I ran it through it's paces last weekend and had zero malfunctions, I used factory 147 and 115 grain bullets, it ran like a champ through 500 rounds. Accuracy was dead on at 25 yards. I freaking love this thing.

Here she is, tell me what you think. My first SBR...

I think.those are neat little guns.

But if I built one I think I'd make one small deviation.

I'd make sure there was enough muzzle exposed to thread on a suppressor. Make a these protector for when I wanted to be, well I guess authentic wouldn't be the right word but you get the idea.

Check out his website, he's got them threaded in 1/2 x 28 and 1/2 x 36, with thread protectors. I went with the authentic version, I don't have a 9mm suppressor yet.

I was gonna say how gorgeous that build is and get into how clean it looks, etc.... but Morg and R. Lee Ermy summed it all up with 3 words.

That is really, really nice.  Congratulations on a very fine build.  I have wanted to build one of these for a long time.

Can you give us a range report please ?

9MM AR's don't do much for me, except the DOE's, which are incredibly cool.

Nice!!!!!

I'm using a standard AR-15 hammer without the notch, the bolt got stuck about mid way with a notched hammer. I'll be replacing it with a 9mm one soon.

There's really no need for a "9mm hammer." The style you have now is closer to a "true DOE hammer" anyway, which was of course an M16 hammer.

Yeah, it runs great with a standard hammer. I wasn't sure if the 9mm hammer is functionally correct due to the bolt assembly.

This is one of the few places where I'd consider a DPMS part. I did a lot of research when I was working on my 635 build, and decided to go with the DPMS hammer. No notch.

I don't know the manufacturer of the no notch  hammer I'm using, I had in a parts bin forever. Seems to run freaking great with it though.

Nice build!

Stag makes the rounded hammers as well.

Also, my 6951 came with an M16 hammer from the factory and is completely legal.
