Got the shortened HGs with the front triangle end cap - need the rear one.  Back in the day when all this stuff was repopped by WaTom and my65pan, it was evidently available.  Now?  Can't seem to find that rear cap.  Anyone help a brotha out?  Thanks

for clarity's sake, you're talking carbine length, correct?

Yes, Colt 607 carbine with the shortened triangular HG

Front half right?

No, the larger rear end cap.  HG's come with the front cap (which I guess is standard. That back end is not a factory size after it's been cut down, so it must be repro'd by someone

I meant that you are using the front half of the handguards, so yes, you need a rear cap.

I'm kinda confused...someone care to show pictures of this rear cap?  I have a set of carbine length triangle hand guards but it uses a regular delta ring and triangle front cap

I think I get it, someone cut the traditional triangle hand guards for carbine length

Here's the deal. When they first designed the 607, they considered using both the rear and front halves of a regular set of HGs. Both options were explored. I personally prefer the back half, and I have small hands. Both designs are very cool.

yeah you probably got the newer production ones that fit a standard slip/delta ring.  tony's customs llc sells those.  i don't really see the advantage except the cost savings b/c you gotta pull the FSB to install a triangular front cap regardless.

He's looking for one of these:

PI has the thin sheetmetal stamped version.
Someone else did, or may still, produce the carbine length triangle handguards that use existing frt cap and rear slip ring.
Here's the repop that I turn out every once in a while, copied from the 101ABN327 pic of an original.

I emailed him and he told me he was getting some more made up but it would be a little while before he listed them again.
