Nice Seiko 6309. Mine is from the same era and spent plenty of time in uniform, but unfortunately no pics of it with the A1 I was assigned at the time.

I found a copy of that a few years back at an estate sale. Gave half the cover price! Hung it in the gun room along with a old Colt ad.

When I first got into retros, I was very curious of the colors of them. The color of the ones out in the field year after year. So I spent a few days looking through the archives trying to find the largest resolution color photos and their source I could find. These are the ones I collected. Well, to Colts Defense, it says the gas system is self cleaning, not the entire rifle. The rifle length Gas System runs at around 19,000psi & is self cleaning, Sort Of! Attachment Attached File
